Cd keyes would never do this to their customer. It would be a business suicide. Cd keyes know how damaging it would be and they only buy from confirmed sources - proof. No one has ever complained about their key being revoked or nobody complained about the like they did with other big distributors who buy from shady places. cd keyes are good and everyone in the chain benefits from it. Sega can cry that they got £ 5 less but they sold their key to the store that is reselling the key to cd keyes. All good.
Nobody is saying CDKeys commits fraud. CDKeys do not themselves commit fraud. However, as you DO NOT KNOW how many times the key has been sold between SEGA's initial sale, and CDKeys' purchase of the key, you DO NOT KNOW if the key has been purchased fraudulently, or whether it has been purchased to bypass exchange rates illegally, etc. And yes, people HAVE had their keys revoked from grey market purchases when chargebacks have happened. You bought your key cheaper, and you are the one who might lose it because of that. That is the risk you take when using a grey market site. Stop trying to claim it is anything otherwise, as it is not. If it was not a grey market site, it would be on that list.
Nah, you are wrong and I strongly disagree with you. It will be good. Trust me. Direct from Steam on sale and from reputable key sellers on release. Thats my rule and I live by it. Its ok.

Live however you want to. Spend your money however you want to. Do not try and convince people that a site that has a history of being involved with shady practices is 100% clean though. It is not. Like I said before, there is evidence of fraudulent keys being revoked that were sold to sites like these who then sold them on again. You do not have ANY confirmation of WHO the middleman was, or how MANY middlemen there were between SEGA and a grey market site, so you cannot say for absolute certainty that a bad actor was not in the middle of them somewhere.

If this were true, why do some developers and publishers tell you they'd rather you straight up pirate the game then buy from keyshops?

Valk has already stated many factual reasons so I see no point of going through them again.

Instead I'd rather let steam know that you are promoting unofficial resellers that harm both the gaming industry and Steam as a business.

You wont get your keys until the game is released, so probably no pre-order bonus and preload.
Probably not preload (since they will give you the key after the game is released) but they say you will receive the preorder bonuses.
i got mine from CDkeys

Lol you are trying to do convincing here. Cd keyes has no hisotry of being affiliated with fraudelent transactions. They are good and they make on release day gaming affordable again.

Be careful to say this on forums. Cd keyes police will get you. There is a guy who takes screenshot and sends it to steam and sega. Sad, I know.

you are actually uneducated on this subject and know nothing about key reselling sites. wether its legal or illegal DOESNT MATTER, customer pays less and gets their product cheaper, those websites NEVER scam, everyone i know uses them and no one ever had a problem and if theres a slightest problem with the key (accidently different region/language) the customer gets refunded within the same day without issues. You want to simp for the devs? Simp for people who already make millions of dollars? you are a sheep.
Read what I said. The SITES do not scam anyone. They are grey market sites, not black market ones. What I said is that because NOBODY can say exactly where those keys have BEEN, then these sites DO end up selling some fraudulently obtained keys (whether by accident or on purpose is up to your own interpretation).
again, why does it matter how are they obtained? you wanna do good in the world? get off the internet and stop worrying about things that dont matter whatsoever. the result is: we can get any game we want MUCH cheaper on these "grey" sites and thats all people care about. the whole gaming business is shady in the first place, u know u do not own any game u buy on steam right? u just have the license to use it, if steam servers were to shut down tomorrow you would have all your stuff gone, so why be moral about this? get it cheaper if you can, never simp for people in gaming industries, all triple A companies are millioners anyway, they will be fine.

Because when a key is fraudulently obtained, that key can be revoked. There's not really any way for the people investigating the fraud to know whether a stolen credit card was used to buy a game and then the key was resold to launder the money, or whether you are the person that stole the card to put the game on your account. Thats WHY it is used for money laundering. The money paid by the next buyer is all clean money, whereas the money used to buy the key with a stolen card is dirty. There HAVE been plenty of cases where illegally obtained keys have been revoked. And what then. Do you really think SEGA is going to cover your ass aand give you a replacement key when you bought from a site they aren't involed with? What about steam? No. They aren't. You're going to have to buy the game again.

And I love it when you people all go on about why does it matter about these big companies making all the money, when you literally go around simping for these grey market sites, when chances are these grey market sites are STILL making a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of money doing what they do. Going on about how what they do is entirely above board and they're so much better because theyre cheaper. Defending them constantly against these audacious accusations that they might be selling stolen goods unknowingly. What is that if not simping for a company in the gaming industry.

Hehheh......grey market wooooo hooooo. Evil cd keyes bought key from cheaper country and is reselling it.....so scary......so grey.....so not right. People they bought key from already paid for it with devs.......oooooh what about stolen credir cards ?.....so stolen, so illegal. Live in edge support grey markets but only if seller is in the light grey zone like cd keyes. Dont buy from G2A, thats a black market.....booooo booooo

Actually G2A, Kinguin etc have been known to have sold non-legit keys from outside sources as they just are a 3rd party site that allows people to sell keys and take their cut.

Same for CDKeys, there is no guarantee all the keys will be legit. People still lose their access to games to this day through some shady sellers on those sites, again I am not saying they are all shady, some are and that is the gamble you take.

You get what you pay for when it comes to third party individual resellers. I know someone who had access to a game revoked with no prior warning with a key they bought from a third party reseller on one of those sites.

Generally, I haven't run into problems with the sites listed on ITAD other than the amount of time it sometimes take to process payment and issue the key to the purchaser, but that being the worst of it is hardly as bad as I mentioned above.

Not to be that guy but, uhh, have you opened a ticket with Humble Bundle support yet about this?

Nah, because I'm trying to see if anyone else has got their keys from Humble yet, or whether it is just me before anything...hence the thread. Which keeps getting overrun by greymarket shills screaming about how they got it cheaper on every place I've asked the question. Like literally asked it across 3 separate forums now and every single one got hijacked by CDKeys specifically.
