I am gonna miss Kaiji Tang's voice over for Ichiban

No hate but Yongyea's voice over for Kiryu is unbearable that i'm going to play the game with Japanese dub. Not a big deal but i'm so gonna miss Ichiban's English VA because i loved his performance so much in 7. Wish there was a way to have Ichiban's English VA and Kiryu's Japanese VA at the same time.

I feel you on that. I really liked the dub on Y7, but I hate kiryu's new voice. Its jarring every time he speaks. It's not just the voice itself, but the lack of gravity and pause in how Kiryu speaks.

****And I know, I know that gets the "sub purists" riled up, even when they aren't so pure if they still have read english subtitles. Fyi, I'm just getting it out of the way that I know and dont care to argue about it.****

I'm still conflicted. I've been conflicted for months. Should I suck it up and go with dub....or just take the path of the least resistance by subs? I probably won't be able to make a decision untill I hit the start button.

Agreed, I was thinking at work how it'd be nice to have a mod to somehow just only include the japanese voice for Kiryu and have the rest in it's english dub would be ideal.

And nothing against the Yongyea guy, no ill will towards him and no clue why people seem to hate the guy. Y7 had a gravel and gravity that I enjoy but also, Kiryus' japanese voice is still top notch.

He meant he will not be using the english dub because of Yongyea, and thus will not be hearing Kaiji,
