Would be nice to know if I could pre-download the game thursday and possibly take friday off but yeah.. Unsure as well. says 25 on steam but ads say 26.

If the release is global. Both apply. If it releases in Japan on the 26th, it will be the 25th in the west.

Yeah global release always seems to be the case on Steam these days, whereas the console usually do the 'Midnight-Per-Timezone' thing.

Seeing 26th here in Australia too, which is only about 1 hour removed from Japan.

It comes out in Japan on 26th, which means you get it on 25th in America, for example. It comes out on the same day that it shows on your page. Preloads are usually only a day earlier these days, based on what I've seen.

They just sent out an email if you subscribed to their mailing list with an exact countdown until release.

(6 days and ~5hrs from now - whatever that means in your respective timezones)
No word on preload though =(

Gaiden had a preload did it not, and that was a couple of days prior, so hopefully they will do so again. I don't expect this to be as big as Gaiden (file size I mean).

Does not apply to Steam version ^^, that's for console since that's a midnight release countdown.

Hmm are we sure? That's about 3pm for me, which is in line with SEGA's other steam releases from recent memory.
Whereas console launches are typically always at midnight.

My Aussie timezone is more or less 1 hour removed from Japan's, so that's nowhere near midnight for them either. Sounds weird for a console launch to be in the middle of the day Japan time.

I am sure because I paid attention to when the Steam timer on my store page counted down from 6 days to 5 days. I know the exact time it releases in my timezone and the email is inaccurate (i checked email). That is entirely for console/midnight release platforms. Steam is not a midnight release platform (at least not any more for most developers) they use the Global Release.

Ok but that email countdown isn't for midnight either is what I'm saying. So now I'm doubly confused.
