Better settings and options for mouse and keyboard
Can we please get the possibility to change the "change target" option in combat? Default is arrow buttons which can't even be changed. It's ridiculous bad choice as default buttons. Give us atleast the option to change this freaking bad default buttons to something better like mousewheel up/down, Q/E, let us click on the targets with the mouse cursor directly or something like that. Everything is better than freaking arrow buttons which can't even be changed. We have atleast 3 buttons for running now (Shift, E and RMB) but god forbid that we can customize something as crucial as the target system...

Also camera sensitivity settings for first-person would be nice. As it is now you can only change camera sensitivity for first- and third-person and that is a problem. Default is alright in third-person but in first-person it is literally unplayable slow. If you change the speed so that first-person is faster and playable at the same time third-person gets way too fast. Why for gods sake is third- and first-person not separated to begin with...

Also both 7 and 8's demo dont allow you to skip the battle end transition on mouse and keyboard. Its not much of an issue, but I find it funny that this is still a thing

Real Yakuza use a gamepad.

arrow buttons? real Yakuza use a gamepad, your problem is you aren't using the optimized device for the game. If a game has "Full Controller Support" on Steam then it means that it's inoptimal to play with a mouse and keyboard, vs just partial controller support.

The game is on pc and the main input devices on PC is mouse and keyboard. What you do is gatekeeping for a company who is just to lazy or don't care to make the game better for their playerbase. I don't even need them to optimize the control scheme to perfectly fit me but at least give us the the bare minimum so that we can customise the control scheme how we want, like in literally every other modern game nowadays.

If you have nothing of value to say then just shut up and gatekeep somewhere else with your unqualified opinion. Thats a valid criticism from me to make the experience better for people that don't have a controler or simply don't wanna use a controler, like me. But I guess that is a no-go for someone egoistic like you. I mean why should you care if the game improves in some aspects where you get nothing out of it, right?

Main input for gaming is gamepad or similar interface, whether it's console, PC, or handheld.

Even the dev themselves say, "Real Yakuza use a gamepad".

Controller is good for games that use analogy inputs (flightcontrol, racing games), and side scroll/isometric games that don't have camera control (which are mostly not using analog input). But for camera control, you want point to point input like in a mouse, not angle to speed to point conversion like in a controller.

You probably don't know the origin of joystick/controller, it's a compromise made considering servomotor (which comes with unavoidable mechanical delay) and production cost. Anything better than a joystick would be overengineering as the response time of the control system is limited by the servomotor response time (excavator, tank turret, etc). To use joystick for camera control in games (which is analogy input without mechanical delay), is purely a cost consideration that sacrifices precision (which weren't an issue for old gen consoles because of delays due to low framerate). M+KB > Controller.

Adding an option is always better than missing an option, wouldn't you agree? How do you think the future would look like if the world is run by people like you who think certain option should be kept to the exclusion of all other options? Would the humanity end up with only 1 type of food, 1 color/style of cloth, absolute authoritarian, 1 type of movie (marvel? lol), oh, and Console exclusive soul-like games with only controller support? You keep it up if you want the 1984 future.

Then let's put something like this to every other game from now on where the devs are to lazy or don't care do make a proper control scheme. But why even stop there, let's go and make it like something like this: When God of War Ragnarok comes to PC and runs bad just make a "Real gods use a 4090" and don't give a damn about optimisation or even better use this on games like call of duty while removing the aimbot controller people need on console with "Real soldiers use mouse and keyboard". RGG even removed this nonsense with gamepad from gaiden, probably because they know how retarded it is for a excuse.

If you prefer controller I wish you guys the best fun possible with this game but how ignorant must you be interfere with a thread which posts constructive criticism to make the overall experience for everyone else better. It isn't even any effort for the devs to just enable full key customization.

Many games do, that's what Steam's "Full Controller Support" means. There's some games on Steam that say mouse & keyboard aren't supported AT ALL, like skating games. Learn to read Steam's descriptors on the store page to learn what control scheme you should be using.

We're talking about Yakuza here, not any other game / genre. Sane person use gamepad to play JRPG, all JRPG.

Using mouse and keyboard for JRPG is blasphemy lol.

"JRPG are meant to be played with a controller"

Are you serious? Then shooters are meant to be played with a mouse, delete all shooters from console.

It seems like they fixed most of it. Change target is on mouse wheel up/down and the third and first person share the same camera rotation speed now. Mouse and keyboard controls are almost perfect now. Nice!
