Minimum requirements guesses
Too early I am aware but given the new engine (UE 4) any guesses on likely minimum requirements?

I have RTX3060 laptop with a Ryzen 9 5900HS which run Like a Dragon (7) better than my PS5.

I’m not so sure now. I prefer staying on PC given the choice. Any guesses on whether I will potentially get a decent 1080p experience or 1440p+DLSS?

Is this also not coming with DLSS???
Like a Dragon is by far my favourite game in the Franchise (sorry Kiryu) so quite excited about this.

This is Dragon Engine, not UE4. Your 3060 laptop should be enough if 7 ran better than PS5 unless they horribly optimize it or something.

Thanks! I kept hearing they were moving away from their in-house Dragon Engine for this game. It ran so well for me. Despite some issues with the engine I really liked it in the last game.

You should be fine considering they're releasing it on PS4 as well

Same as Lost Judgement's since that was the last DE game

Judgment 2 (cant remember about 1) was the first game with dlss, i guess gaiden and infinite wealth also have dlss support

Very good point.

It should be more than fine then if I don’t get to obsessed with maxing out settings (assuming for a small increase in requirements).

I guess system requirements will be same as Lost Judgment or Gaiden

LaD 7 was using an inferior Dragen Engine Version compared to (Lost) Judgement. You can look up on youtube for comparisons. Played Lost Judgement with rtx 3070 + dlss quality, max settings 4k on 80 fps average with(!) mxao reshade active. You will be fine with a 3060. I also recommend Judgment 1 and 2 if you have not played it already :)
This doesn't look like UE at all. Yokoyama said they were doing UE in Ishin because it did natural lighting better, they never gave any indication whatsoever that they were sunsetting DE.

You'll also probably be fine - this is releasing on PS4 so I can't imagine you'll need a supercomputer to play it.

I would expect the same requirements as MWEHN since they were developed around the same time, maybe a little higher.

As said above, if you could run LaD, Lost Judgment and check Gaiden when it comes out you will be fine with LaD 8
