Not playing this game until all balance issues are worked out
I know this is a Beta. I know for a fact I'm going to get criticized from the community, and that's understandable. But I feel like I need to say something regarding my experience with Archeblade, its a great game with much promise. To start. No fighter is perfect, we all know this. Being an avid gamer who lovers fighters I know this from first hand experience. But when you have a pool of over 12 characters, and more than half of them have balancing issues (Such as damage output, movement, abilities) (Take the Akuma-like character in the game, his basic attacks rarely connect with the opponent, leaving you open for instant punishment). And the blocking seems to have little to no effect in a situation where guarding atacks is needed. That's a breeding ground for trouble. And from what I've gathered from playing thus far; if you don't pick either of the gun-wielding girls or the dwarf-robots as characters before the beginning of a match you're automatically outclassed. And that's truly frustrating. No other characters can come close to those, except maybe for the hammer-wielding character with her fast, close range attacks.

I'm no novelist ladies and gentleman. And sorry if I don't have the characters names down to a tee, just bought it the day before yesterday.

I'm going to take a break from this game, and hopefully in the future when I come back to play it all the characters will be evenly balanced and I can have a great time with all of them. Best of luck Devs!

There are still balancing to do in this game, but you are far from the truth when you say that this game is unplayable because of it. I've seen pretty much every character top the leaderboard. Just have to know your character, his moves, gameplay, pros and cons and know the other characters moves and pros and cons. The only character that I pretty much never seen top a leaderboard is a Sewon and most ppl alrdy know he has a hard time versus most even though he's still not underpowered. There are pplz that plays him really well.

This post wreaks of inexperience. The characters are balanced around team play. There are some OP characters/strategies that could use some minor adjustments, but you seem to be screaming that certain characters are leagues above the rest when that's simply not true. There are some 1on1 match-ups that definitely put one player at a huge disadvantage, but when used properly in a team environment, every character can shine.

Danmei, the "Akuma-like character", is one of the strongest fighters in the game and can easily 1on1 ♥♥♥♥, Gaspar, Renoah, and Elika if not 2on1 them! On the other end of that stick, Dan is also easy to "lock-down" 1on1, if you're an experienced player. The hit-box on his opening L is huge. You not being able to hit with it is either a lack of experience with him, under-sensitive settings, or both.

There's just Gaspar and ♥♥♥♥ who are unbeatable in the right hands. Everyone else is pretty whatever.

No offence, but I got to agree with the rest of the people and point out that you are doing something wrong.
As a Renny/Elrath player, the only time that I have problems is when I do something stupid. Trying to run after a D*ck or a Gaspar will not kill them as they can kite you.
That hammer-girl is, infact, quite slow.
If you try to block more than 1 person at a time, you will most likely fail. It's made to be like that and it that would be a problem if some characters had no way of avoiding hits, and they do have ways to avoid stuff, so blocking is fine.

I cannot deny that the game is not perfect but you are overeacting here. Obviously there will be issues in a BETA phase, but the game is one of the most balanced BETA experiences that I ever had( I admit that I didn't have many beta experiences ).

Won't play the game until it is perfectly balanced.
Game cannot be perfectly balanced until thoroughly played.

Perfect Logic!

The game is fun if you get decent at it. Keep in mind that it is a team fighter, so playing Naga's Pit will make things seem a little unbalanced. Your total play time is just over 3 hours. You wouldn't expect to be a master at Tekken in 3 hours, why do you consider yourself a master here? While the game does indeed have a few issues the bigger issue you're currently experiencing is your lack of experience.

I tend to not take any post regarding character balance seriously if the OP hasn't played enough to the point of at least remembering their names.
Try going to a Street Fighter forum and posting "the guy that throws energy balls is overpowered" and see what happens =P.

Ya I think it's all good

As an experienced player. I think the game is balanced pretty good for now. It just takes allot of skill to be good at this game. PERSONALLY the only thing I think can use a tiny bit of nerfing is Elika's stun lock and Aoe...but thats just me...and I mainly play Flame Renny / Renoah...and I hate Elika...so yeah.

I think its time they add a little bit of new content. nothing too big, Maybe a few new costumes or a new , simple game mode. . (1v1 would be nice, even though this is MOBA)

Yeah 3 hours total playing archeblade is not enough time to actually talk about balance (not intending to come off elitist). I'll be honest with you. After playing this game for 50 hours i complained about certain chars and their balance. Now another 100 hours on top of the 50 i already had have taken away most of my OP complaints (if not all). There is almost always an option to fight back. Aslong as you don't encounter shin and his JL tiac you should be fine.

Ask some of the really good players how they deal with certain chars or better yet even ask them to play the char and learn you the machanics to counter them. Only by learning the game is how you will seriously progress.

Gunna keep this short your problem is you havn't played long enough to have experience against those classes and have probably ran into alot of people who have knowledge of such experience this game is all about out smarting your enemy and if you fail to do that you will be punished and most likely die horribly.

Probably uses a gamepad and can't understand why he's losing.

Gamepad's are a bad fit for this game because joysticks can't come close to the precision and sensitivity you can have with a $40 mouse. With a joystick, you can crank up the sensitivity, but you lose your precision; turn down the sensitivity, and you can't react fast enough to block properly or aim certain attacks.

Funny but yea I don't think a gamepad fits this kind of game. It's not Street Fighter, it's Archeblade xD

I think by Akuma you meant Danmei, and he's frigging awesome. He's the only thing I can use effectively against maxed rank people with their infinite tricks.
