Special tricks - i cant do it

Hello, i play this PC version of THPSHD and i change my controls in .ini files. All work OK and i change in skate shop Special trick Darkslide to <- -> + Grind. I get normal tricks and i have yellow special meter = i push this combination and nothing. I try other special tricks and sometimes i do it, sometimes NO, but dont get the patern/ style/ how push the buttons. I play THPS2 and THPS3 and special tricks are great, im not newbie. I dont understand, i try change normal tricks, and its working normal, but special tricks no.

Have you same problem?

They messed up the keyboard controls in THPS HD. I already did the same trick routine for 15 minutes in Warehouse and didn't recognize any particular pattern how to pull of the special tricks.

Keyboard controls are basically broke when it comes to special moves...

Aha, OK thx for info. I have same problem on Warehouse = i cant make special trik over "16" stairs. But on map Venice Beach i can make Darkslide OK.

But make special tricks are so difficult, its so hard repeat it. Its nearly impossible in this new game

You have to do them slower.

In the older games you could mash the buttons fairly quick and have them work fine. On here you have to press each button a bit slower with slight pauses.

It's easy once you get that in your head.

Also helps to use the d-pad. You can swap between the analog stick and d-pad whenever so just move your finger up to the pad real quick for specials.

Emcitement: You have right, i make slower combination and sometimes work in rail. But i found good solution for special tricks on rail/ slide = i play on PC, i push keyboard keyes and after this i push 2x button to grind and its always works!!! But Grab and Flip tricks are for me mistery.

I think you have to push them one after another now. If I remember it correctly, it used to be one key first and then the two ones left at the same time.

pyrz: u have right! In slide is this usefull, but i try special GAP on U-ramp and nothing. I want do 360 casper flip and nothing hapens...

Nah. I've been playing the older games all week and you don't press two buttons at once. You always press them in order.
Just in the old games it's a lot faster.

Press them a bit slower and use the d-pad. It's easy .-.
You're going too fast if it isn't working.

I havent D-pad i play on keyboard on PC, but i try and practice. Thanks for reaction.

Turns out you can do it equally as fast as in the oldies, but you have to press each direction clearly.

Keyboard might be your issue. Why don't you use a gamepad?

I play all games on keyboard, gamepad is for me not so good, but i maybe buy and try. Which gamepad you recommend???

I find solution: I have to apologize for my mistake. I try make "casper to 360 flip" on U-ramp and its a special manual :-) I live in conviction it is Grab special trick, but its manual. That was my mistake :-) Now i try special tricks and its OK. But still thank you all to information = must push slower combination. Now itsk all OK and i live in peace.

i set the 900 to right down. when the meter was filled up i went off a ramp going right. then i hit down in midair and it worked fine.
