Has anyone else played Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2x for the original Xbox?

That was everything this game should have been and isn't. Its the perfect spiritual successor to THPS2. It had everything the original had and more. I dont need 1/4 of THPS1 and 1/4 of THPS2 mashed together resulting in half of a game, which is what I feel I ended up paying for. I understand at the end of the day it comes down to money and bosses looked at the bottom lines and said they couldn't afford to spend the money to add these features, but if you aren't going to spend the time and money to make a complete game just dont do it. Leave it to someone who is willing to put the amount of TLC into this kind of project that it deserves. I want to play THPS 1 and 2 with the gameplay elements from underground. Each time they released a new game in the series they fixed gameplay issues and added new features which made the game easier and funner to play. In this port they ignored YEARS of play testing and just slapped new graphics and a physics engine on that gets in the way more than adds to the game. I'v never fallen in a THPS game more than I have in the hours I'v played so far. Customization is a joke and all but non-existent. No park creator? no character creator? no board creator? no music track list editor? no multiplayer? I dont mind not having online multiplayer if they at least gave me local multiplayer!

I bought this game for the nostalgia factor and was GREATLY disappointed with a game that has almost no similarities to the classic I grew up with. I recently bought "nights into dreams" for the same reason. It was one of the few games my folks bought for my sega saturn. They cleaned up the game and gave it a graphical overhaul but not only did that not change the game play but they included the original game, flaws and all!

BUT ALL THESE COMPLAINS PALE IN COMPARISON TO THIS ONE:
one of the most fun things to do in THPS was try and keep your combo going after the timer reached 0. You were encouraged to keep the combo going and it was AWESOME to complete a few more goals all on one trick. In multiplayer you might have been losing in score attack but if your opponent stopped moving and you kept going you had a chance to whip out a huge combo and beat him in one trick. There was nothing that compared to that feeling of landing a multimillion point trick after making your opponent sit there as you just racked up more points. BUT NOOOOOOOOO now when the timer hits zero and you manual your character is forced to slow down and stop! WHAT. THE. ♥♥♥♥. Seriously why in gods name would you change that!? sure it wasnt exactly how you were supposed to play the game and it was kind of taking advantage of a game mechanic but it was an integral part of the game that I loved. Why the hell would you change that of all things!? Seriously I want an answer from the devs on that one.

I'm a huge fan of TH series, also Underground 1-2 and Pro Skater 2x, 3, 4. And I thinking the same like your opinion(Sorry for my bad english). THPS2x is great game also great port\remake of THPS2\THPS1 and one of the best game ever like pro skater 3-4 and underground 1-2. American wasteland, Project 8 and proving ground is good too but less than older games in the series. Pro Skater HD is piece of junk and specially PC version is not worth any cash of it. I'm not recommend this game to anyone! Don't even think to play this game(i mean, pro skater HD). Even THPS 2 on PSX is much interesting and funnier than crappy HD heresy.

I think there is no reason to whine because the game costs like 15 euros only, but I really hate that THPS HD doesn't have the levels New York and that 3rd or 2nd competition level that had a million ramps everywhere and the secret levels.
I really liked the revert pack DLC though all of those 3 maps had so much detail. Just amazing detail but still it had to come out in September and did in December.
