I went through the brieft tutorial. I gave the minotaur a cudgel which at combat time, he no longer had. I found throwing knives which I used against snail doing little damage. That was all my weapons so do I just die now or what? I didn't seem to be able to punch. Oh I threw my torches at it putting me in darkness but they did a teeny amount of damage.

Just put the weapons in your right hand, and click on the icon. :)

Right click the weapon icons when they're in the character's hand icons.

combat in this game is hard at first, but as Moose said. Right click.

And if you can't stand clicking the right button every time you want to attack or mistakenly click left every time you wish to attack, you can always go to the options menu and click on the check box that says "use left mouse button for attacking."

Another thing too, remember that only your front row may attack the monster while the back must use range weapons, magic, and reach weapons to do damage

Additionally that cudgel you gave to your minotaur is likely in his inventory instead of his hand where you want it. You can access a character's inventory by right-clicking on their portrait.

Ok so I am supposed to fight this snail I guess. I will reload and see if I can get the mionotaur his weapon. I didn't find anything else to use hope it works. Thanks

Why do I have to google up how to combat???? Why doesn't the game tell me how to do the very basic and main thing the game is about??? What the ♥♥♥♥, developers? Even the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tutorial doesn't even mention that! Here's how to move and how to pick up stuff and oh, by the way, the way you defend yourself from dying is unlike anything you have ever learned in any other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ video game you have ever played in your entire life but go on and see for yourself cause we aint gonna tell you ♥♥♥♥.... Seriously? Okay, I feel better now. now at least I can give it a try.

Oh, looks like You're right. Weird, I have run through it twice but it somehow didn't register. Well, it only proves my point that it's incredibly easy to miss that info. And I'm not the only one who missed it as I can see.
