Vault of the Orb bug

I've found the Vault of the Orb, but the teleport that should allow me to get in is not working. Objects seem to pass through just fine, though with no effect on my being able to enter. I however cannot pass through, and this strikes me as very odd because in literaly every other instance I can pass through any teleport. I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but I'm almost positive that this is abnormal behavior.

EDIT: Problem solved. Apparently the portal is designed to be only used by objects. This is a glaring inconsistency in my eyes, but I solved the puzzle regardless.

I don't have a rock so I put some armor on it and it still won't open or work
