I'd include Dungeon Master 1 and 2. Legend of Grimrock draws very, very heavy from those two games. Do note that Dungeon Master 2 is really quite difficult.
They're available either as abandonware or on Amazon, although you'd need to have some skill at using Dosbox.
Captive and Captive: Liberation were also two games that were heavily inspired by the Dungeon Master setup, and are available as abandonware. Do note that they take place in a science fiction setting. They do have open world elements, when you travel between planets. The plot was basically that you, the player, was a prisoner, and could remote control four androids to rescue yourself.
The Eye of the Beholder series was also considered quite good, and takes place in the same setting as Neverwinter Nights, but were first person dungeon crawlers.
Also worth a look if you have some old school hardware lying around is dungeons and dragons warriors of the eternal sun that game was incredible. Its only avalible on the sega megadrive (or genesis in America). It had an isometric top down world view and first person dungeon crawling, really good. Played it again recently, it was still great but my C button was a bit sticky.
