Somewhere to find rules?
Hi all! I'm new to the game, and I came across an early on logic grid that just had some numbers in white, like "two" and it said "area numbers must equal region size." And I honestly just don't know what this means. Could someone please explain the rules to me? Is there somewhere that I can find the rules and I missed it? Thank you for the help!

To Answer Your Question First
Numbered region is referring to the number of blocks connected to each other not including corners, at least not for this specific puzzle, so if it said 4 region size & it was white, only 4 total blocks of white should be connected to the number, this also includes the numbered tile itself counts as 1 block already, if a 5th white would touch, it counts it as wrong, as well as it's a must if there are multiple numbers in a puzzle, you must make sure they all have their required regions filled in before the puzzle can be stated as complete

5 Early Hints
Probably the most missed hints on the first island you step on after the tutorial pathway, are the 5 orbs, which gives you hints about the area, I too skipped these, but didn't realize them because I was doing the puzzles around the area

How to Determine Puzzle Rules
Your most go to puzzles that teach you about the puzzles in the surrounding area will be Pillars, while also Enclaves are more direct

  • Pillars: Gives you a few puzzles, like you did in the starting area of when you started the game, the first puzzle will be the introduction, it will be fairly easy, then get harder as you solve each one

Note: Some Pillars are unique though, more like a challenge Pillar if you will, if you come across one & you don't know what to do, just exit it, you can always come back later if you want

  • Enclaves: Each unique to a theme or variant to a puzzle but it will start out easy at the start & get harder the more you solve them, like the pillar puzzles, but there's far more in Enclaves specifically, which may also include other various requirements to complete or even 100% the area entirely, giving you a variety of things to do

Also where you open the map with TAB or M which opens at the top of the screen you can select other tabs (with mouse or maybe TAB) one is (I believe) Dictionary where all rules in all puzzle types is shown. Insights give tips about how to play, how you can play faster.
