Islands of Insight

My 170h of progress are gone :(
I have 170 hours of gameplay. Since I needed a break I haven't touched the game since June. Now I wanted to come back, but my whole progress is gone.
I just read the last update note, but seriously... Abandon the online version completely? No achievements? No mulitplayer puzzle to give the multiplayer gameplay more spice?
I seriously like the game, but I feel dropped. Couldn't you have given it a bit more of time for people so save their progress? Post a second hint? One month is nothing. I am really angry...

I just logged in to see all mine gone too, what the hell... I'm glad it wasn't a bug and that I'm not alone, but dang, why did they get rid of online play? Not enough concurrent players or some such I wonder? D:

^ Well, BHVR which are known & popular around Dead by Daylight, didn't market the game well, also, not sure why BHVR published the game, as they are known just by that game specifically, which is tied to horror, now I doubt a bunch of horror lunatics would want to switch over to a puzzle game, for that reason, the only people who saw the game was searching for puzzle games specifically & found it by chance

This was actually my first game I took seriously, because it was close enough to "The Witness" as an Open World Puzzle game, I sent so many reports to help levy any issues, only to find soon after launch, they mentioned laying off & having a short group working on the game, since apparently it was an underwhelming launch

For the large scope of things, I think it was the sheer magnitude of an Indie game studio trying to amass servers & issues which may seem too complicated, as well as BHVR not getting the game known by advertising it & short staffing the team from the get go is the reason the game couldn't manage & therefore we are at the point we are now

To those that did stay & try to do as much as you could before this point, I thank you

Glad to hear that I'm not the only one who lost their save, despite using the "download online save".
Luckily I only had about 40 hours, most of which was trying to get the game to run properly lol Should be much faster to reclaim progress now that I know what I'm doing.

Some of you are more attentive than me. I hadn't played in a few months (after 150 hours of obsessive game play, clearing as many objectives/areas as possible). I let October 30th slide right past me so now I have a new game as my only option. Can't blame anyone but myself. Sigh...
Perhaps it is not a bad thing... It's a beautiful game that I can enjoy and explore all over again, through new eyes... Hopefully some of the lag issues will be resolved by playing locally :-)

It does sadden me a bit to lose my character... she was an awesome sight to behold with earned features, markings, and clothing :-(

I second that, when online was available, I rushed everything and missed lots of interesting stuff. Just be sure to install the mod from rushin, it is a game changer.
