Hopefully that helps you visualize it a bit better. I suggest moving your mouse either in a spiral or S pattern so that you're covering all parts of the image while searching for the solution.
So when you get close to the solution, keep dragging slightly & then let go.
There's also a method of dragging with mouse2 (never releasing it) while clicking mouse1 to test solution. Helps with those fractals that just won't want to register even when you're very close. Which is half of them it feels like...
Reset, move the mouse up.
Reset again, move right.
Reset, move down.
Reset, move left.
At this point it is usually clear which direction you need to go to roughly. Fiddle with it until it works. This lets you skip exploring most of the fractal space.
Many have shown their disapproval with how difficult Morphic Fractals are, as well as for people with impairments
I have suggested at one time to add optional keyboard controls for easier slight modifying,. yet they have yet to implement that into an update
