Okay, P.S.: My computer just crashed twice, 1 and 5 minutes into the game.
Do I need to delete the game from my computer, now?!
Well, I'd trust it being free to keep was/is not a mistake.
edit: This was posted in the announcement topic.
Yeah I was wrong; it's 100% intentional. Seems a bit rushed to me but I don't know their situation and sometimes you need big moves to capture an audience.
They put the game on a 40% discount for 2 weeks, 1 month after release.. which I think is a good indication of the state of sales of the game to put things in perspective.

Time will tell, but i can only wish the best for the devs in the future
Edit: Thanks Pancake (above) for the insight. That's indeed sad news.
Yeah, that's very unfortunate. I bought the game. I want the game to succeed financially. It's a great game. I hope they can make a come back as I want this game supported in the future.
Nope
Now they made the game available offline to preserve the game forever, and instead of being thankful, some people are actually offended by having paid money for it before it will be free. More game companies should follow the lead of these developers when shutting down games. Looking at you Ubisoft....
I hope the devs find great new success because there was clear talent and love put into this game.
Ideally it will generate a little bit of buzz from people playing it over the next few days, which may cause people to buy it during the summer sale. Another game called Content Warning used this trick to good effect.
Either way its better to treat this as a few people getting lucky instead of you missing out.
