"This item is currently unavailable in your region" (Russia)
this is a disappointing message to see.

I really don't understand why publishers delist their games in Russia.
it makes sense when manufacturers of drones or other equipment which can be used for military purposes refuse to sell it in Russia, but delisting videogames? what exactly is expected to be achieved by that? obviously it has absolutely no effect on the war or any politics in general.
it just discriminates all russian players regardless of whether they even support that war or not in the first place.

I think it is time to reconsider that strange decision and relist this game (and others you published) in Russian region.

Not about the war they just don’t have a Russian translation of the game. Also Russia makes up a small % of game sales, they probably felt translation/listing wasn’t worth it.

that is not true.

1. it actually was a politically motivated decision (but I still don't understand what exactly it was supposed to achieve):

2. Russian is a #3 language on Steam.

3. you don't even need a translation to sell the game in a any region. a lot of games don't have a Russian translation but are still available here.

I'm upset that devs would not be upfront about it. If you're being political - just say it, don't beat around the bush.

Not really a political choice. The West can't do monetary transactions with Russia. If you don't like it, you have an election coming up in a month or two.

that's a lie.
most games (including ones from US publishers) are still available in Russia.

You're delusional

Sucks to be a Russian citizen right now. However, this is a direct consequence of your leadership. You want it to go back to how it was? Putin needs to go.

2. Russian is a #3 language on Steam.

1. What they want to achieve is written in the third paragraph on Twitter.

2. If Russian is one of the top three languages on Steam, it's then a particularly courageous decision. Especially if that means they leave a serious amount of money on the table.

The ban for Belarus is even dumber than for Russia

It's just publisher ego,

Doubt the devs have any say in what those above them decide to do. And if they speak out about it, they'll get in major trouble. Sounds like a terrible situation if you ask me.

Since they can't say it; I will, Behaviour Interactive can rot.

I'm sure the people under fire in Ukraine would love for the ability to buy a video game to be their biggest problem.

It's the company's game; they have every right to sell it where they want, and to give up sales because they don't want to interact with a nation engaging in an unprovoked war and slaughtering innocent people.

I've been on the fence about this game, but I think I'll go ahead and pick it up to support the stance they've taken.

Please do, the devs deserve it.
And thankfully (after you follow-through on that) Steam will add a little icon next to your name in this thread to show everyone your grand conviction to have bought a video game.
