What a load of crap.
Sorry to the devs for being stuck with a monkey publisher. I know this is probably not something they want.
Regardless, I'll keep this on my wishlist for when sales are re-enabled. Look forward to playing in the future when I have something to celebrate. :)
This is nonsense. My government does tons of stuff I hate, and there's nothing I can do about it outside voting besides sitting down on a highway or doing a terrorism, neither of which would actually be effective while putting me in high danger.
Powerlessness =/= complacency.
The guy I replied to came off like an entitled brat, hence the quip. My comment wasn’t a call to activism, it was more a way of saying “don’t expect to be able to just ignore what’s happening.”
Absurd. How does that pressure Putin? Delisting videogames does not and can not have any effect on politics.
All it does is discriminate all Russians, most of whom doesn't have anything to do with that war.
It's like after some terrosist act committed by a muslim radical saying that all muslims are bad and should be punished - 100% the same logic here.
You mean the country that held an unconstitutional third election so they could get the candidate the USA wanted and then suspended all elections immediately afterwards? That's what you call democratic?
Not at all. Any Russian currently in Russia and working is supporting Putin. Unlike normal terrorists Putin controls the Russian economy so he gets to benefit from anyone actively taking part in that economy.
It's not easy to do something about it but yes even Russian gamers are supporting Putin, hence the sanctions. It's not just politics either, this is about the murder, torture and rape of literally millions of people.
lol
That's very childish. It's a simple fact, if you spend or earn a Ruble you're helping prop up the Russian economy which directly benefits Putin and the war. Recognizing that is easy as is understanding it's hard for a Russian to do anything about it. The options are literally leave Russia join a movement trying to over thrown Putin or just live your life. The 3rd option is by far the easiest and exactly what most people would do. It however sucks because it means you're part of the machine which supports Putin.
You're espousing some unhinged political rant about rape and murder in a discussion about buying a video game. No one in this thread but you cares at all about who gets to plant their flag on some rubble in Eastern Europe.
It affects my day-to-day life almost zero, in the same way your nations politics likely barely affect your life directly.
Getting back on-topic. Like I said earlier, I'll keep this game on my wishlist for when I can buy it again, because the devs don't seem anti-Russian, they just have to abide by the whims of their publisher.
