About That Yellow 5 Dot Pattern Puzzle...
Not the one at the end of the maze in Temple of Glass, but the one on top of the outer wall in that same area.

Does anyone understand exactly what the pattern was supposed to be there? I used Foresight for every single block. Even when it was finished I couldn't find any kind of pattern in it.

The solution was that all black tiles was a three tile. the rest are all white

Ah, I don't think I would've ever thought to count the tiles, unless I ended up finding that type of pattern in a different pattern-grid puzzle in the full game.

Thank you! Definitely sounds like it should have been more of a logic puzzle than a pattern one IMO. Kind of misleading but I'll be excited to go take a second look when I get home from work and see it again!

Damn, I would never have gotten this. Doesn't seem like a reasonable thing to throw at you without any previous suggestion that tile size matters. Eh, maybe that'll come later and you're expected to backtrack, or I missed something.

Yeah not a fan of this one, definitely wouldn't have got it without your answer. It's a pattern, but not a visual pattern like every other one I've come across.

There are definitely two strains of pattern puzzles, most are the standard "complete the pattern" but there are some that are more about figuring out the underlying rule that generated the pattern. It would be good if they tutorialized that because I definitely brute forced a few of them before realizing it.

Ugh... I spent about 10 minutes just repeatedly using my "foresight" until I finally got it. Even after I had the solution I couldn't make sense of it!

What? Why?! How should one know, that this is the answer? That's so random.
What's pointing at this solution? Could also have been 75% of the horizontal two-tile-blocks on a moonless night... :hatty:

Yeah it's probably one of the few most bullsh*t patterns in the whole game honestly. It being placed in an enclave next to a bunch of much more fun and solvable patterns doesn't help either.

But yeah, the silver lining is that the majority of other pattern grids are... well not this.
