What is the meaning of starting of loop vs starting island

Loop start with +2 supply
vs
Islands start with +2 supply

Loop Start : Only the first island of a loop.

Islands Start : Every island in a loop.

So starting resource resource of island is way better, since it also include the island of loop start

Something else to keep in mind as well is that loop start with + Supplies/Might/Eitr per turn bonuses apply to all islands, not just the first one.

Yes this I understand.
But about the non per turn bonus, there is "per island" and "per loop" difference I am guessing.

this also puzzled me, thanks for the clarification. adding bonuses that only apply for the easiest island seem like a complete waste of time imo
