Could anybody explain what "jump-boost" was?
I didn't have the game and it was removed when I bought it, I'm just curious, thanks in advance for the answers.

Boostjumping was when you boosted for a fraction of a second and jumped. Back then, you carried the momentum of the boost while in the air, but did not lose any boost past that first "starter". It let you go through the map really fast, while only using up a small fraction of your boost meter. It essentially meant that if you were in a match and you used it, anyone who did not boost jump would lose.

You can still do it after a fashion; you just have to keep using the boost while in the air; meaning it can still be a tactical way to go through a hallfway or something, but it gets used up afterwards. Nowadays I find myself reserving my boost for when I'm in those places where you fall for a significant distance to steer in the direction I have to go next; making a sharper turn.

Also with timing you could get multiple jumps out of a single boost use. Much like the trick on the ship with the drop swing. I would link a video, but I'm not sure where one is and I'm feeling lazy.
