Story Mode's "Unfair" Difficulty
Having the AI straight up have a higher movement speed is beyond stupid. Just because it's called "Unfair" doesn't mean that it should be 100% Powerup RNG based if you're going to win or not. Having them dodge hooks 99% of the time makes it basically impossible for you to do anything in most situations.

There's "Unfair" then there's "Bad Design".

Moonraker was doable but Gil's Factory stage is pretty much impossible unless you get extremely lucky with powerups and have perfect movement.

follow the steps to fix that:

1. play online for a month
2. play unfair bots again and realize they are ret.arded
3. come back to this thread and laugh at yourself from the past

Once you learn how to get and maintain momentum then the unfair bots are actually very easy.

HAHA I beat unfair story mode on first try. Play ranked get up to bronze and realise that their faster movement is nothing if you know the maps and can get superspeed at the most important parts.

Bots are easy... You are just a beginner.
This is how good you can get:

Just play ranked for a few weeks and you will see Unfair mode is not hard at all.

The bots ARE easy, normally. In Unfair Story however they have a higher movement speed, and on maps like Factory where there aren't many options for movement tech it's really unfair, goes with the name I guess.

Higher movement speed means nothing when you learn to get/keep momentum.

Learning to keep momentum means nothing when there's no opportunities for it.

Learn to play the game.
There's nothing else to discuss here.

So if you dont know the oppurtunities they are non existent. Also you are like what, 30 hours into the game? Of course you suck but that doesnt mean that you have to be ignorant as well.

When you learn the game these unfair bots are really easy. Most bronze league and above league find these bots very easy and non challenging thats why online mode is best. In factory there are few opportunities. No bot take factory shortcut. After that you can gain advantage by grappling and many more ways to gain advantage.
Here are some unfair runs. I havent watched them but I am pretty sure they were done easily by these players.

you'll get it, just need a bit more practice and to know the right routes.
