Constant frame/lag spikes ruining gameplay

Just yesterday I bought this game for me and a couple of friends through the 4-pack. And they and I have been having a ton of fun enjoying it, but I've been having really annoying lag/frame drop spikes that has been ruining the experience and gameplay for me.

Every 5 - 15 seconds or so the frames will drop to 1 fps for a second and basically just freeze and that has caused me to lose many games as sometimes it'll freeze in the middle of a jump or other and causes me to fall way behind.

The lag spikes I mention are at the timestamps; 0:16, 0:32, 0:38, 0:43, 0:53, 0:58, 1:04

The spike at 0:43 really demonstrates how this is ruining my experience as I could have easily double-jumped over the barrels, but the lag spike instead broke my concentration and made it difficult to tell what I was doing, and caused me to run into them instead, causing me to lose time and momentum.

I've done everything I can think of to resolve this issue. Ive tried different resolutions, trying it windowed, borderless, fullscreen, messed with options, closed all other applications, updated all my drivers, etc.

My PC specs are:
Windows 10
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9300XT
Memory: 32 Gigs of ram
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

I've had control panel up while running the game and nothing spikes or anything when the lag spikes occur. The highest usage is my GPU but that only goes up to about 60% usage while playing the game so I dont think that's the issue.

Someone help? Is there anyone or any dev that could propose a solution?

Hello. You can try to add" +framelimit 300 " to launch options. If that didn't work you can also try change the ingame video settings to borderless window to full screen (or vice versa) and try to disable/re-enable vsync.
