Black bars

How to disable theese damn black bars on top and bottom of the screen? Btw, where resolution settings?

Not only you can't change the resolution, the game crashes so much it's umplayable. This is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke.

yea no crashes here but changing deskto rez changes game rez. not that it really supports 3D or anything anyways.

i swear people cry foul over the most pathetic things! i kind of wish steam only sold games to gamers.

Those black bars seem to be a design decision. Even the Xbox 360 version had them. I don't think you can do much about it.

yeah, it's done in a letterbox style, akin to 2:35:1 or whatever it is, for movies.
As for resolution, it just acts on the native resolution of your display, so pick 1920x1080, and that's what it seems to play as, pick lower, and well, you get the idea.

Awesome game,loved it on the 360, but it's far better on a pc, with a solid frame rate, and much smoother, nicer graphics.

i wasnt even going to mention where the ini is, but i applaud your dilligence. every game has 1, i mean.. yea its there somewhere.

the rez DOES go to desktop setting though it doesnt support 3d so i dont see why it matters to anyone. the black boxes... c'mon guys. why would you NOT want them are you still playing on some crapy 3:4 monitor? time to upgrade if you are... you know BEFORE it blows. they would either be showing a whole lot of nothing or hiding enemies throwing projectiles at you if they werent there. i cant help but think you bought the wrong game in the wrong genre if they phase you at all.

Those black bars don't have anything to do with the increased internal resolution. This is a shmup, a genre of game that you're apparently not extremely familiar with. lol

well i played r-type and stuff , this games had no black bars , but whatever when its a design decision it's totally fine for me, didnt know that before sorry

So I found the CFG file but guess what its in that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sign language so I guess it's useless. Either way if you are interested it is located in the userdata folder for Steam, Steam\userdata\15418597\207040\remote\ good luck.

Shmups are full of games that enforce their own specific aspect ratios.

Anyway, to anyone interested this game is solid. It's very reminiscent of a Treasure shmup. Very good production quality, above average story for the genre, and it is compatible with analog input. Really good stuff.

yea that stuff is a mofo to translate too. im sure theres a few people on here that could do it, but the juice just REALLY aint worth the squeeze.

I'm not sure people understand that the gameplay is directly related to the field of view provided by the aspect ratio. lol
