Sort of like the method the controller communicates with the game. XInput is the newer standard introduced with Xbox.
Where can I download xinput?
You can download xbox360ce at the following URL:
https://code.google.com/p/x360ce/downloads/detail?name=x360ce.App-2.1.2.191.zip
Note "system requirements" on this page and make sure u have everything installed before proceeding to configure the controller:
https://code.google.com/p/x360ce/wiki/Whatisx360ceandhowuseIt
Next to properly configure it follow these steps:
1. Plug in your controller and make sure its nicely setup with drivers and all (in other words properly detected by Windows)
2. Unzip the the downloaded x360ce.exe file into a directory u want
3. Run the .exe file as administrator
4. You should see in the program window, on the top with a row of tab that starts with "Controller 1" and so forth till "Controller 4".
5. Click on each of those controller tabs and find the one that belongs to your controller (should be "Controller 1" if you just plugged in 1 controller)
6. Note the square box beside the wordings of "Controller 1" It should be lit as green or red. Your objective is to green lit that.
7. Next look at the bottom of the program, with a dropdown menu of presets, just select them until that box mentionend in step 6 is green lit.
8. Click on save and test the controller to see if every input is detected by the program.
9. Once done exit the program.
10. Now you should see that 2 other files are generated, which are x360ce.ini and xinput1_3.dll
11. Copy those 2 files into the root of Sine Mora's installation directory (\steam\steamapps\common\sine mora) and your controller should work.
NOTE: You can do the same for other games that doesn't support DirectInput, just keep those 3 files and repeat steps 10 and 11.
