[Updated] Now we could get more chapters

The developer announced the game is totally finished and there won't be more updates on steam despite the patreon page saying that the game was going to be finished in 2-3 years, so I guess that steam is not receiving any type of paid DLC or bug fixes in the future.

The developer announced later in a different post that the game will get a different release that could be called "Episode 2" ( only if steam) allows it due to the content, so it will essentially have paid chapters like Telltale games used to do back in the day. I think that is pretty good in my opinion. It could've been a missunderstanding in communication or something.

Hopefully we can get a second steam release.

According to the dev's FAQ 2, the game series will continue to be released on Steam in each chapter's episode, which still has "Under The Witch" tag but different chapter's names. For instance the next one's going to be "Under The Witch: Gothic" which includes episode 2. Moreover, dev also mentions that the game was once rejected with its original name by Steam, so "Under The Witch" is now the new official name, which somehow is approved (or check-pass). That being said, the chance of it being rejected again by Steam is also decent (cuz Steam may take a closer look this time at the game's explicit contents, despite of the game having the Adult tag on itself). So all I can say is we should play and pray for Steam and the game to somehow come in an agreement for the future contents.

Oh thanks for noting this, that is good, I have no issue paying for the extra chapters, is just that it was pretty weird how he said "no more updates, game is done".

I see. I'm glad that I could make something clear for you. Game is still going, but in different upcoming chapters. The only thing that worries me the most is that the game series could be rejected (yet again) as the original name of it was not in Steam's favor, and I don't think the game's explicit contents are just some usual one we would see in other title in the same genre that Steam could easily allow! :(

Yes, it's quite easier than it is on Steam and I believe the game's already in full content if you purchase at DLsite.
