Discount for existing customers?

As per the title, will there be any discount for RF 9.5S customers?

I only fairly recently purchased RF 9.5S (and the InterLink controller) for what was quite a lot of money so are now feeling like maybe I shouldn't have bothered due to the surprise news of this new iteration being imminent.

It depends on whether you purchased 9.5S specifically or 9/9.5.

If you bought 9.5S, you will get RealFlight Evolution for free!

If you bought 9 or 9.5, you got 9.5S for free, and you are eligible for a discount on Evolution.

It doesn't matter if you purchased from Steam or your local hobby shop or online. What matters is which version you bought originally.

That's great news! Thanks for clarifying. Yep, RF 9.5S is what I purchased. That's a really cool business model to reward existing customers that way.

Checked order and it states RealFlight 9.5Sm if you have RealFlight 9.5 it means no upgrade correct?

I purchased Realflight 9.5, then upgraded to 9.5S when it was released. Can I have RealFlight Evolution for free or do I have to pay for it because I bought Realflight 9.5 initially?

Correct. RealFlight Evolution is now officially released, so it will simply show up in your Steam library if you purchased 9.5S. All you have to do install it. Enjoy!

Thank you for your reply. but in this case, I will not pay again while Realflight is under DiractX 9, because I have an RX 5700, and I have a lot of freezes, even with the correct driver installed.

And then graphically it starts to be outdated on a 4K screen.

I to am in this boat and I dont like it! How can they say 9.5S was really any different than 9.5 other than Horizon Hobby now owns the code? This is garbage. I really hope they do the right thing and give free update to all 9.5 customers in addition to 9.5S. What a joke.
Or at least come down off that god awful upgrade price. I already paid 100 dollars? Dont you think 170 is a bit steep?

I will wait till it's on sale or just free upgrade from 9.5. Glad they over hauled the ui. But you need to work on the graphics of this. It's so outdated. If you have did that I could see the price would be fine. To the developers I know it's alot of time and work goes into this. But graphics are so far behind that's what kill its. Looks like windows 95. So please work on this. This has been the same look to long. I was getting excited newer version but after seeing it. Just not worth it.
