It's not made for very stupid people, medium stupidity is okay

Me and my friend, we're both stupid and we love this game

I love puzzle games, I love playing them with family and friends and this game met all the expectations. Unboxing the Cryptic Killer is an escape room puzzle game where you must have someone else to play it with you, keep in mind that both of you must purchase a copy of the game and share a room ID to start playing.

Ally and Old Dog arrived at the warehouse only to find a huge mystery waiting for them, a box with a ticking bomb where they must solve multiple puzzles as quickly as they can to deactivate the puzzles. Could the Cryptic Killer still be on the loose? The comic strip cutscenes and voice-acting are really good. I enjoyed the gameplay, although You'll only be in one location unlike the demo, but the puzzles were very challenging and fun.

Pros:

+Good hinting system.
+Steam achievements.

Cons:
-Too short.
-Incomplete story.
-The level will restart when you exit midways.

There is still another chapter of this game and the story is still ongoing, I do wish whenever someone purchases a copy of the game they'll get a gift copy to send it to a friend or someone to play with instead of paying for two in order to play it. I still recommend the game to people who enjoy challenging puzzles.

Was a pleasant game. Me and my friend managed to beat it and we clearly aren't the brightest considering how long it took us to clear the first level.

Some of the clues were quite frankly useless and started more questions than they answered. I do wish the final ''clue'' actually could give you a direct answer.
Overall the puzzles were fun and challenging, communication is the key when it comes to this game. Gives you some nice opportunities to insult your friend's intellect.

My friend and I enjoyed playing the demo for this game, so we were looking forward to the full versions release. However, upon playing, we found that it didnt quite live up to our expectations. Although some of the puzzles were challenging, we found that others were too easy and a bit boring. The repetitive nature of the puzzle design, with four puzzles per box for a combination lock with four numbers, made it feel like we were just going through the motions at times. The story also left a lot to be desired. If I had to rate the game without the demo, I would say that the puzzles and story were too simplistic. I had hoped for more from the full version. Despite these shortcomings, the game is still worth a try if youre a fan of puzzle games, and you can expect to spend about 2 to 3 hours on it.

Unboxing the Cryptic Killer is one of the better Co-op puzzle games i played.

This short (about 2 hours long) game's difficulty was really on point, challenging enough to almost wanting to use the hint button but perfectly doable without if you give it a bit of time. Most puzzles require you to share information that is only shown on your side of the puzzle so good communication is key.

Played this one side by side with my wife and we did not argue even once. So recommended for most ;) couples aswell.

Overall the puzzles really felt satisfying to complete and the 1,80 euro i payed per game was totally worth it.

I am for sure buying their new game that will be released this year.

Unsolved Case is the prequel to Unboxing the Cryptic Killer, it's free, easy, and quite boring.

I came in with low expectations for the Cryptic Killer, but I was proven wrong. The puzzles are challenging and the co-op is well implemented. You have to give each other information or interact with buttons at the same time to solve the puzzles. I had a great time playing Cryptic Killer with my partner and we are looking forward to the next game in the series. Cryptic Killer is a great game for puzzle fans.
