Error when launching the game

I have just downloaded the game and wanted to give it a try, however upon launching it the DRO Client gives me an error saying that ''Please start STEAM to launch this application''. Needless to say Steam is already running...

I start Drakensang on line I just get a screen that says start your game anytime as I look at their screen? what am I doing wrong here I cant connect.
