Stuck on Chapter 2 Part One

I've done the impression room at least three times now and run out of time even though I'm following a guide. I can't understand what I'm doing wrong. Is this a known bug?

The first time Ranger says you've run out of time and starts to count down, you haven't really run out of time and you just have to continue. Same goes for the second time; neither of these are avoidable. When a dart is about to be fired for a third time, that's when you've really run out of time and failed the puzzle. Basically, there's no way to avoid Gin being hit twice. The final action, which you've probably seen in the guide, is to present the band breakup article to Reko after asking her to sing a song.

If there's something wrong in that whole process, then it might be a bug, but it's probably just the confusion of this part of the game that's preventing you from beating it. The only other thing I can think of is just if you saved the game too late and you already used up too many turns to make it to the chance to perform the final action.

No problem, that part of the game was a bit frustrating and without a guide a lot of people aren't able to beat it or don't even know that it can be beat lol so you're not alone

oh god i was JUST about to make a thread like this, thank you for clarifying what's actually going on i *did* consider that i was maybe jumping to conclusions and whether i should just let the cutscene play out.............
