it never works well because i guess it was too hard to add a visible qte. and when the process stops your screen goes nearly completely black making any sort of threat basically death

So I found all 10 keys and made it through a purple door, but I was met with a black wall and couldn't progress. When I tried back tracking (cause I figured I just chose wrong) the game wouldn't allow me to pass back through the door... is that by design, or is it a bug? The tuto says to hold the UV light to make the threat go away right ? If so then it didn't work : I got the screamer nevertheless. Would you mind explaining please ?
