Graphics Options disabled on Steam Deck?

Is there a way to enable the Graphics Options for Steam Deck? I tried forcing proton, thinking that might run the Windows version, but Graphics Options are still disabled.

Why is the game capped at 40fps, with the Graphics Options disabled on Steam Deck anyway? Steam Deck is still a PC, being able to customise settings is the main reason I play on PC. All I want to do is uncap the framerate, and tweak the settings, why is that not allowed?

My Desktop died recently, and all I have is my Deck. Had I known the game treats the Deck like a Nintendo Switch, I would have waited until I got my Desktop fixed to buy it.

It loads the most optimal settings for the steam deck; also it gives good battery life (2.5-3hrs on LCD).

Which makes zero sense when plugged in, docked, etc.

Yeah, I'm realizing that now... It's not playing nice with my new 1440p monitor... It tries to run, but oh god does it only use 4FPS lol.

I had to ALT+ENTER it and the make a small window to get it to 720p to work....very annoying and might refund since the devs haven't said anything helpful about it yet....

Easily fixed, by adding this to the launch command:
STEAMDECK=0 %command%

A bunch of steam games have limited steamdeck video/quality options, and enforcing a preset. Squirrel with A gun isn't unique, it just uses the same thing. This was something valve did/exposed to make it easier to get games working on the deck.

You can use
SteamDeck=0 %command%

Though personally, I find the settings the developer used just fine. It's hard to achieve a 60fps without tanking visuals to a monstrous degree.
