how many golden acorns are there in the game

i have found 55 but i just want to make sure i am not missing any?

Admittedly this is only a tiny little bit of help, but whatever zone you're in at any given time, the unlocked vs available golden acorns / reload clips / garments will show up as little icons in the top right of the screen - full-color for the ones you've unlocked, and silhouetted for the ones you haven't gotten yet. Saves the tedium of having climb every flagpole.

Not sure on total myself, but if you press start/escape, you can find the totals option. It lets you cycle between areas that you have been to see what you are missing. It also gives you a slight hint on how to gain said item. Not sure if it is added to the list by climbing a pole, or just entering the area though.

I found that "Mean Street" was not in my list until I found the flag pole and started collecting the 2 items from the list.

I have 55 right now, and the 55th one is not in the totals list. I have every flag pole as far as I am aware ( flew around on the quadcopter ).

My 55th was in the pipe leading back from the pool - but it doesn't exist in the totals list for me

Then its either bug or youre missing some hidden acorn. That acorn is called "Canopy crossing" acorn. Some "hidden" ones you cant see until you find them and not every area have own flagpole, but all acorns should be visible in totals screen.

Canopy Crossing isn't in the pipe, it's up in the trees near the exit of the pipe.

There are currently 56 Golden Acorns in the game. My problem has been finding a couple of the reload wedges... lol.

To add to this, if you haven't climbed a flag pole for an area, that area won't show up on the totals screen. If anyone is still stuck looking for their last couple of acorns, look around at flagpoles for the sunglasses (agents) flag. Once you climb to the top and fly the squirrelgun nation flag it will be added to the totals screen.

Any areas without a flag should be automatically added the first time you enter them. This likely isn't a problem as these areas are huge (like streets) or areas you have to go through to progress to end game (the bunker, the tower, the waterway etc)

I was missing one single gold acorn (the Pumpkin Patch) but couldn't figure out where it was. Luckily I have the drone unlocked in the endgame and flew around until I saw it!

For me the one I was missing was for shooting all the golden guys on the waterway. If you're in the endgame, use the drone and fly through it, it's way easier

65.
56 in main game and then 9 more in newest challenge level.
