from there i would read up on redownloading the redistributables steam grabs for games and verify those, anything past that is starting to sound like either driver errors for important hardware like your mobo or an outright hardware fault. though that last one you would be seeing issues elsewhere occasionally too. without direct eyes on it, it can be hard to make that determination.
An inquisitive mind can do it, but it'll likely take some time, and google-fu to get to the bottom of the problem.
First thing I'd be looking for is high temps at the memory junction - usually the most taxed part of the GPU. Bad GPU RAM chips can be registered as part of the memory pool, but then malfunction when in use. Brittle, lead-free solder is often to blame, from what I've seen.
