How do you run the Death Knight?
This is the ONE character I am having an issue leveling to 100. The no dash is really impacting my survival in tier-5 and above. The little knights seem to help, except when they get trapped in the summoning circle and the whole screen is red due to AoEs, but they are only a distraction for a limited time.

I've tried using DoT build with high AoE to tick down every enemy. Frontal spells while retreating last a little longer, but even then I can almost be 2-smacked from a boss beam because even with 50% extra speed it can't seem to outrun to the side.

stack movement speed a bit, or have Firestorm skill that grant HASTE.
Death knight is not suitable for curse 63, but at full curse lvl 7 which is around curse 36, dashing is not important, especially in that boss ring map, where you can simply circle around and leave attacks behind.
And for safety, do get some defensive buff like Bulwark and Resistance, as well as at least 1 skill that heals. Also it is better to choose some max HP in leveling, preventing to get one-shot.
When you can easily run other character in top difficulty to gate 5, you will find it not too challenging with death knight as well.

Hi,

my personal Movement Speed Sweetspot is around 200% (+-20%).
A Build that works great on Curse 62 is Swing - Bulwark,
since you will end up with 2000+ Blockpower, which will yield ~93%+ Block.

"Synergetic" helps to get more Buff Synergies, but i Banish Debuff Synergies ASAP to reduce Pool Bloat.

Reroll Mastery - get your wanted Skills ASAP, then use Rerolls to skip white Traits
Skill Inclination Swing
Skill Mastery Swing -
- Scent of Blood - more Attack Speed
- Slash (Bulwark + Finesse)
--- alternate for Healing - Blades of Light (Prowess + Purity)
War Tank +50% Block
Synergetic - more Buff Synergy Cards
Battle Proficiency - additional Buff
Multi Cast Mastery - better Multicast -> more Buff Trigger

Weapon - Last Sentence (3d)
Ravaging Strike (Bulwark + Finesse)
Scent of Blood (AS Bonus based on Finesse)
Slash (Bulwark + Finesse) OR Blades of Light (Prowess + Purity) for Healing
Double Slash (Bulwark + Finesse)
Heartrending Strike (Fragility + Bulwark + Finesse)
Titans Cleaver (Finesse) Damage Multiplier based on Block Power

Deathknight Companions during Lord Fights as distraction and more important,
to position them in one spot for AOE Killing.

Thanks, I'll have to look into this more. I don't recall any healing skills outside of monkey king's self regeneration, so perhaps I will hold DK off for a bit.

Thank you for the build, I'll save it for later. I do use the reroll runes but turns out I wasted a spot. The +5 rerolls/locks per portal doesn't help much when I can't get out of the 2nd stage.

Most holy spells grant Purity that will heal in 20 stacks. One of the SLAM type skill heals when hitting 4 bleeding targets, with grasping hand icon. The most powerful would be Smite, not only stacks purity but also heals in an area, it is like continuous shower of holy light in late game.

Hey guys, I hope it's not to late but I saw that someone was having trouble with the higher curses as DK. I just completed a Curse VII and recorded it. It will be available in a couple of hours if you would like to check it out for tips. I list the runes, weapons and abilities in the video. Long story short, I went with the Last Sentence Sword. I choose runes that increased multihit and bleed that goes into multihit. I also went for skills that increase block chance and armor such as Carnage, Heartrending Strikes, Bloody Saw, Double Slash, Titan Cleaver, and Bladestorm for damage. I focused on increasing movement speed through Agile combined with Armor through Resilient. I also picked up Multi Cast as well and when my movement was high enough, I chose Leviathan. Getting Ebon Knights extra crit was a nice bonus and granted a enough extra damage to be my second most damaging ability. I hope this helps : )

Thank you. I will have to look into this more. I tried to use the Rune to gain access to holy skills, but I guess I don't have Paladin to 60+ yet. The other Rune that gives first pick to a type (holy) did not work. Wish they would have put on the tool tip that if you don't have access it won't work.

What they should do is look into fixing the slowdown that kicks in when the bosses spawn all at once. When that happens, if you have a speed modifier of let's say 200% you immediately drop to a moving speed of like 100%. I cooked a build designed for damage and survivability, but it has a slower start until you set all the skills up. It is highly dependant on mobility, and that massive slowdown during bosses spawn is literally killing the build. Even on the lowest resolution, with SFX set to zero, and quality to very low, it is the same thing. That is the reason why curse 63 is bad. I tested the build on a map without curses activated, and I reached Endless 13 effortlessly. I also tested it with curses, but with the multi boss spawn deactivated, and the play in both Overlord and Endless is a pleasure. My PC is very good, but I will not buy a 5k worth of money processor to be able to get a few extra frames. I remember back in the day when Crysis came out and it was kneeling PC left and right due to the requirements. This is not Crysis.

Or... maybe there's a hidden movement speed handicap that is applied on the player when playing on curses.

I did not see this post at first. I played a few matches last night and I think they increased the starting speed until the first boss wave. It "feels" faster until the bosses. Then it slows down to "normal" or how I felt it was when I first started.

Or I could be wrong and it was normal before and some bug is making it slower later. But you are right, there is a different game speed if you look for it.
