Best Runes Setup?
This is my usual go to 10 points:
1. Improved Repertory (7 skill slots) - 3x cost
2. Critical Mastery - 2x cost
3. Multicast Mastery - 2x cost
4. Lord's Bane (25% dmg per Void Lord) - 3x cost

Lord's Bane is a bit of flex spot, since some elements like Fire and Lightning have dedicated runes for 3x cost that are also quite good.

I would not claim that my rune setups are the best ever, but in any case they work well for me.

1. Summon setup - for low level, weak characters with basic weapon. Short runs.
- Skill inclination nature (5 rats + wild strike)
- Skill affinity nature
- Efficient extraction

- Singular Focus (5)
- Harmony (3)
- Extra Help (1)
- Dash Mastery (1)

2. Heavy hitting with a bit of healing setup - for strong characters. Long runs.
- Skill inclination holy
- Skill affinity holy (5 Light Beams and Exorcism)
- Unconventional start

- Singular Focus (5)
- Multicast mastery (2)
- Quality standards (2) - I like this one a lot in this build
- Ready for battle (1)

How do you get..

rats (necro weapon skill) + wild strike (beastmaster weapon skill)

on other characters?!

I understand your 2nd build because light beam is a general skill not a weapon skill

Skill Mastery: Nature
Then you pick the Plague Rats and Wild Strike from the List,
so those Skills can appear in the Skill Pool.

Works with every Alignment.
Keep in mind, if you e.g. use Necromancer with his 3d Weapon, the Rats will not show up in the List, since they are already in the natural Pool of Skills.

where did exorcism go? I search online and it is supposed to be a lvl20 paladin skill. But it is now gone.

FYI everyone Singular Focus is a noob trap, not only is it extremely expensive 5 points, but it's much less dmg then 7 skills.

any good general rune setup you recommend over singular focus?

Got removed with the latest patch.
For Healing Purpouse, you can now use Skills with Purity to trigger fast Healing.

Without further context I would disagree.
You can use Singular Focus along with Improved Repertory and use one powerful Skill 7 times.
Or use Focused Mind instead of IR for 3 times.

Singular focus is absolutely not a noob trap, unless you mean it can lead to some really useless builds for a high cost. The best build I stumbled on is 5x shadow stab and 1x Reap, prettymuch instantly kills everything at max curse. The build requires singular focus.

If you take the legendary and reroll runes, you're basically guaranteeing yourself 3 legendary abilities every map level (remember to lock your other legendaries), and probably more. Considering that means tons of AOE and damage, that's a solid choice for many occasions.

I tried 5x plague rats + wild strike.

This build is bad, the rats die too easily to have any effect on wild strike.

The reverse works well. Get the dogs since they proc on poison stacks and then whatever poison adds you want. The rats work fine as well, but that's only if you really want a pet build. Otherwise just the dogs are fine too. And since they should be one-shotting the mobs once you get your poison stacks working, they stay alive pretty well.

I tried 5x dogs + wild strike..

Still terrible. Maybe because I play on max curse.

I simply used nature mastery and picked 4 or 5 summons (dog, tiger, bear, boar, moose) and it work waaaay better than 5 rats or 5 dogs.

Singular focus seems pointless unless playing the light beam build.

Dont know if Lightbeam is still a thing.
Arcane Beam isnt it, which has Brittle now.

If you go for Plague Rats, you want them to die as fast as possible, since they explode.
Pre Patch they died instantly on resummon, dont know if this is still possible.

Tried 3x /6x Wartigers yesterday and it was fun like before.

6x Bladestorm with Elemental Proccs worked great as well.

I think you may have misunderstood me. Dogs replace Wild Strike as your primary damage dealer, as they use the existing poison stacks as their damage. You should have 1 dog, and then 5 poison generators of your choice.

I also play on max curse, and what you'll see is the dogs will one-shot everything for a while, because you're poisoning everything like crazy. For the purposes of generating poison, 5 rats will do, but as you notice you can pull lots of pets. I will say, poison totems should be in your pet list, though.
