What are the little Myrmidon minions for?

I just unlocked The Myrmidon and he seems to summon little minions that heal or something, but there's nowhere on his Character tab that explains why they are there.

Does anyone know what they do? And are there other characters that have hidden abilities like this?

Hello there,

they are unlocked via Artefact Power and depend on the weapon you use.
Some chars already have this mechanic and some will get it later.

In case of Myrmidon you can summon little Minions, the Barbarian does a Warcry.

You can check the effect on the char selection screen.
select a char - pick a weapon
in the bottom right corner under "Artifact Power" is described what the power does.

oh thanks, i never upgraded the weapon to artifact so i was confused

Not sure but I think Tier IV Weapons have their Artifact Power unlocked w/o upgrading them.
The earlier Weapons need some Upgrades to reach that point.
