The gillikin and other artifact powers can have their basic effects looked over by mousing over the artifact power bar at the bottom of the right side skills window when choosing a character and their weapon.
For example, The Chaoswalker's Ascension is extremely lacking in detail. The gist that you kill to gain temporary powers at the altar, but there is no record about what the temporary powers are. Sure, you get a rough idea of some them after a few runs, but this is a numbers game where specifics matter.
There are also game mechanics which are not explained. A soulstone wiki claims "overcrits" are a thing, yet I have seen nowhere in the game where that is explicitly stated.
When I started playing the Myrmidon, they had an inexplicable-at-the-time ridiculously high critical chance (>100% at match start). Now I have to wonder if something I thought was additive may have been multiplicative because the game never specified.
In short, although the game provides some details, there are substantial holes in that information.
But that isn't true. I do still have them running around on the map healing me, but no additional damage. So it's either a bug, or they're there by default
