You don't have to watch a whole video. I tell you what abilities that I take at the start of the video and recap runes and suggestions at the end. And if there is anything specifically you are looking for that I missed, you can ask : ).
Cursed Captain near as I can tell seems best tuned for crit-based builds. Aptitude, Form, Dazed, Disoriented and Devastating are the keywords you're looking for. Exposed helps with Devastating. My instinct was to just go for the shark and coral abilities for aesthetic as a cursed sea captain ala Davy Jones when using Jaws of the Abyss (second weapon).
That said, longer term, his 4th weapon has the best base stats that I can see (+30% crit damage and +10% movespeed). Rapid building I would say:
Abilties : Cursed Shot, Ghostly Burst, Eldritch Grasp, Shiver of Sharks, Suction Bomb, On Guard
Runes : Reroll Mastery, Weapon Expert, Skill Mastery: Thrust (Shiver of Sharks), Curse of the Depths, Critical Mastery, Vulnerable Target, Fateful Strike
If you're feeling spicy, swap Weapon Expert for Skill Mastery: Bomb (Explosive Arrows and Portable Nuke) for the extra Devastating abilities, swap them with Cursed Shot and Ghostly Burst. Take Chromatic Bolt at some point earlier so you can get those status on-hit and on-crit abilities, then swap out to suggested abilities. Storm of Arrows is always just a cover-all staple when you get those status abilities, so easy enough to replace Suction bomb with it.
(Quick testing this build kinda sucks early, but scales stronger in longer runs, honestly I'm always going to default to a catch-all build usually anyways, but this does work. It won't look like it works, but then you'll randomly deal a few million damage to a boss suddenly.)

Priority:
Rotting (Epic)
> Physical Synergies (Multicast, Area, Damage) (Legendary)
> Area Synergies (Multicast, Area, Damage) (Epic)
> Nature Synergies (Multicast, Area, Damage) (Rare)
> Death and Decay (Rare)
> Infected Wounds (Rare)
> Corrosive (Uncommon, Common)
> Venomous (Uncommon, Common)
Lethality (until 100% Crit Chance) > Relenteless > Resilient > Behemoth
Banish:
Debilitating Plague, Skill Buffs (Damage, Area, Multicast) for the 3 Skills you use
(This will ensure less Skill Pool Bloat, which increases odds for more usefull Rolls for Passives, like Synergies and Poison Buffs)
Feel free to ask for more details if needed,
Cheers!
Corrosive will increase Poison dmg by 30%/60% for Common/Uncommon.
Merciless is 12%/24%/36% for Common/Uncommon/Rare
If you have a bad roll, you can always pick taht up.
I usually keep 10 Rerolls for bad RNG, but if i get a Common Area, Common Attack Speed and Rare Crit Damage Roll, I will pick the Crit Damage here.
How do you only have 3 skills?
