Try out summon or bomb builds, especially combined with status effects.
Funnily enough, necro with boom rats and gunner with bombs was much smoother for me.
I think it's that spinning staff throw skill and rolling staff, once you get them down to 0.5s and 0.2s cooldown and enough multicast it kills cpu.
I second Summon Builds. I've done full staff builds, and worse, some dealing Quadrillions in damage numbers, with literally .2 cast time, and 1000%+ multicast...
Summon builds lag me, and I have a 4080. The above does not lag me. haha.
Rolling Staff is definitely a performance killer though.
Would it be as precise as it is now? Nope!
Would it cut down on computations? Hells yeah.
Check out my Monkey King/Barbarian guide, that one's still in the process of being written up, but the screenshots are there in the MK/Barb subsection of the guide.
7 quadrillion+ damage in Overlord 10/11 etc. Really shows that monkey king is a badass lol. The basic information for that specific build is there, but it's not written up properly like the rest of my guides.
Zero lag on that build, btw.
1. Affects cooldown as usual.
2. It also affects the tickrate. At 0% cast frequency, it's 0.3s per hit, but the higher your cast freq, the faster the tickrate. Moreover, Spinning Staff still moves for 4s, before it flies back to you, so you can potentially squeeze more hits at higher cast frequency.
I had to tap out after loop 4 because the entirety of that loop was a slideshow, even on 0% effects.
