RE:PATCH! Overlord 6 - Curse 62 - 60m - Smooth like butter
Just concluded a Caves run up to Overlord 6 with all curse activated as a test for the re:New Beginning patch, and I am damn impressed. (Would have been a healthy 30 minutes if I had stopped after OL4.)

-- NO issues with performance
-- DRASTICALLY reduced ground spam
-- FAST responsive-feeling gameplay
-- SATISFYING leveling experience (ended around level 230)
-- DASH IS BACK BABY - OG dash timing feels great with new patch mechanics
-- FUN AF --

The run lasted for 60 minutes before I died to the first round of bosses in overlord 6. They started with ~75 billion health, got them to around 19 billion before dying.

NOTE (again): Overlord 5 and 6 took about 30 minutes of this run.
Boss HP @ Overlord 4: ~1.5 billion
Boss HP @ Overlord 5: ~11 billion
Boss HP @ Overlord 6: ~75 billion

Build: lvl 120 Spellblade using Fiery blades/Firestorm/Bladestorm w/ Bloodlust, Might and the armor buff.
Computer: RTX 3070, i7-12700k, 16gb DDR5 @ 1440p (not overclocked) on Windows 11.

For clarity, I took issue with many aspects of the previous iteration of this patch, particularly with the drastically slowed gameplay (slog!), the XP nerf, and the performance issues that would start around Overlord 2

tl;dr: bravo to the devs for absolutely knocking it out of the park this time.

Notes on the build:

I've never read any guides so I don't claim to know anything about optimization, but this (or similar - I prefer DK and Pyro) has been my strongest build for most of my 150+ hours of playtime. I will say it has been *significantly* nerfed and I love it. It was hilariously overpowered before to the point of not being fun, and now feels like it's much more balanced, resulting in more meaningful leveling.

I'm sure this is a well-known build but if there's interest I can try to elaborate. I thought I took a ss of the end screen, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to have captured.

It may also be worth noting I am a mouse-only player.

Is it just for flexing to max curse or is there an actual benefit to take curses above the max(6/6 etc) for each tier? I have only been doing max curse runs, 36 or whatever the highest is to get all of the 7/7 or 6/6 or w/e for each tier.

There's no major benefit, and in this case it wasn't for flexing. I almost always do max curse with this build because it's too easy otherwise, but here it was for testing; especially in regards to performance, ground spam and boss scaling.
