I would prioritize the blue ones they make you do less dmg. I have not played the update since it got reverted so i could be wrong.
I assure you I wasn't. Although I did not set myself up for success.
It was Curse 7 on the newbeginnings build, and I was trying out the Spellblade's second weaponset and trying to build into Swing for Finesse stacks and capitalizing on Subdue.
I hadn't unlocked any points in the Spellblade's tree for it, but I figured I could compensate with an ASPD and crit-maxing build.
I didn't get any of the stat upgrades I was looking for and the plan went to ♥♥♥♥ by the first boss. I have never ate dirt that hard tbh.
But the point nonetheless stands, even though this is an extreme example.
Trouble is I couldn't kill the Pillars of Protection. Poison Boy would wall me out of them before I could take them out.
This was an exceptionally bad run. I might try it again when I got some actual points in Spellblade...
For example an arcane build i would only use arcane abilities
or a bomb build where i only use bomb weapons or a buff if there is only 5 bomb weapons.
I usually build for debuffs too - and those are only better in the newbeginnings patch with the new upgrades - but I wanted to try and see how the new buff system would scale in the build.
The answer - right now, at least? Not well.
They have upgrades to chain into eachother like debuffs but as far as I've seen, that's it. You can't really scale them, and I think that really holds them back as a build right now.
I've been using that too, but I started a fresh game for the newbegginings patch, so I'm missing a lot of my tree right now.
And don't worry about me - I went back with the Pyromancer and went Overlord 3 before I tapped out. I just think I need better base stats if I want to survive long enough to get that Spellblade build off the ground, but maybe Finesse-focus is just trash.
