Try to avoid armor/block bonuses because increasing your dps is a much better idea. If you move so fast that attacks can't hit you and you deal way too much damage so everything dies quickly, you won't need any healing.
Focus on what your character is good at, look to increase your dps first (multi-cast and cast frequency are insanely good), and avoid the damage instead of tanking it. Be aware of the environment so you don't dodge into them and remember that dodging gives you immunity frames.
Also it's normal that vampire survivor is easier, that game practically plays itself while you only move around. I've perfected it so I know all too well lol
Hey lordmarkhan! I'm sorry that you are having issues with the game. The devs are trying their best to deliver the best experience possible. Keep in mind that the game is still very much under development and all constructive feedback we can get from the community is very much appreciated. For now, I'd say that your fellow gamer's advice here (Sedri) is pretty neat.
Maybe cut down on the number or size on AOEs (3-boss encounters are excessive with a lot of builds where you can't get close enough to land hits), while upping the damage on the ones that remain so there's a little more dodging and weaving involved rather than just spamming dash and hoping for the best, color code the AOE indicators for how dangerous they are
Maybe upcoming metaprogression systems will help with that, but in its current state it's just not quite as fun after you get past a certain point.
To be fair this game is good and vampire survivors is bad.
Which I quite like, more engaging that way. But trying to dodge the terrain features at red skull 4 (I deadass forgot what it's actually called) is like playing a racing game lol.
You just need to get used to the mecanics a little more.
Many people are complaining about the fact that at a certain point, more Curse means more stuff to dodge. So eventually you have to runaway the entire game and dodge all those red marks everywhere.
So just take some movement speed, take an extra dash if you get one, and try to know how to deal good damages with less skills. After 35 Curse you have to consider to take more "utility" skills instead of full damage, which requires some adaptation.
Fight and die!
