How do we unlock bumble's lair?

I found 5 glowing circles of different colors in one of my maps, but I couldn't complete the quest. I tried killing bosses inside of them, but that didn't seem to do anything.

I think you have to kill bosses inside the circles in order: 1st boss in the red circle, 2nd in blue, 3rd in yellow/orange, 4th in green and the 5th in purple

I did this in the Frozen Wasteland, I stood within a circle in a color order (to make it easier to bait the bosses, you don't have to literally stand in there all the time), until a boss appeared, then I killed them all right within the circle.

Circle color in order of resource crystals in the main menu:
Red > Blue > Yellow > Green > Purple

Then, to unlock the Secret Achievements and their respective skills:
1st: Defeat the Secret Boss with 0 curse intensity/disable it
2nd: Defeat the Secret Boss with 25 curse intensity/Curse IV equivalent
3rd: Defeat the Secret Boss with 34 curse intensity/Curse V equivalent

You can unlock all 3 instantly by just playing on C34 directly, but someone reported that they didn't get the achievements until they unlocked them in order.

it seems to unlock skill, and it difficulty based for the three achievement the first one is doing it no curse, give a explosive present skill that can paralyse.

ok did it in curse 3 (didn't beat him it's insane) 16Million hp and spawn enemy that have tons of hp, you always have 4 plus 3 ice ray that turn around... plus the skill of the easy mode.

Do the snow map with all the house of lords. Build into a channel/missile build like a beam, flurry, magic missile, the kind of attacks you wont accidentally kill a lord with because you have to aim. Get about +60% speed so you can move quickly.

Now when a lord spawns there should be at least 3, they will all drop the same coloured crystal on death, so lure one away from the others and quickly pwn it with all your aimed channel/missile skills to see what colour it drops, then lure the other 2 lords to the colour circle matching the crystal colour, kill a lord while it's withing the circle, to light up that circle.

Rinse repeat every lord wave, 5 circles, 5 lord waves, with house of lords on that's 3 chances per wave. LOGIC.

After all 5 are lit, an additional portal will open near the south east corner, leads to a small arena to fight bumble the abominable, he had 7mil health when i did him. All i got was a bomb/static/magical skill as a reward, not a great skill either.

The picture in the update has 3 achievements listed, but i only got one.

The Medium level achievement requires curse level 25.
The Hard level achievement requires curse level 34.

(That's what the little number on the achievement icon means :) ).

i just did a run with curse level 34, but no achievement get, when beat him it... maybe it need to be done in order.
ok did the 25 did get it, strange, but well, the skill is interesting...

Just did it in max difficulty, you have to kill at least 1 boss in the circle per wave. As aeternox said, the color order (per wave) where you have to kill the boss is : Red > Blue > Yellow > Green > Purple

Tip: the built-in Windows filter for the colorblind can help (a bit)

i agree, i means this game at high difficulty have soo many aoe to avoid than maintain and kill a boss in a small circle in the area become more a chore than anything. and it depend of the boss you have...some don't move at all making it hard to have any control on them.

Just to reiterate and clarify: this step is not entirely necessary. The first boss (or group of bosses) will always drop Red crystal. The second will always drop Blue crystals. The third will always drop Yellow crystals. The fourth will always drop Green crystals. The fifth/final will always drop Purple crystals.

So you can always go Red - Blue - Yellow - Green - Purple.

The only way you would see a crystal drop not in this order is if you can't kill bosses in a timely manner and the next group of bosses spawn while the previous is still alive and you kill the fresh boss first.

As for difficulty, I don't think it's that difficult. You do not have to do this on max curse, it relies on curse intensity and the highest for the achievement/secret unlock is 34 intensity. I did this easily by disabling pillars and void hunters and even some of the house of lords so only 3 spawned at once. Only area spawn I had to worry about was from the bosses themselves and occasionally elites, which die super fast anyways.

Is it hilariously easy? No. And imo it should not be. In my opinion, games SHOULD have challenging secrets. I'm not saying the entire game needs to be stupid difficult, but neither should there be no difficulty whatsoever. (sorry for prattling on about that, many people seem to refuse to deal in nuance and gradients, trying to make everything binary, and that's just not how the world actually works)

And if you prefer getting directions...

The red circle is to the bottom right, the blue is to the left, the yellow is top right, the green is bottom left, and purple is top left.

or red: south east, blue west, yellow north east, green south west, purple north west, if you prefer cardinal directions.

Or just skip the first 2 steps and do one C34 run. Just unlocked all 3 first try.

I would assume that they killed one of the bosses outside of the designated circle. The timestamp on all three of my achievements is the same.
