Co-op is a possibility, being discussed but if it were to be implemented would be post release as a free content patch. Glad to know you enjoy the game! Devs always appreciate reading comments like these.
it does not negate the timer to avoid accidents. I think this route would very fluid for game play with multiple people.
There's a clear passion and will to create something fun put into there. On the other hand, it's lacking some polish in quite a few areas. The combat and movement somehow manages to both feel good yet a little awkward, and it's hard to pinpoint what's wrong with the game.
But what's right is a lot easier and there's quite a bit of it, a lot of content, dumb fun, decent level of challenge, feels cool to look at and to become a force of nature flooding the screen with particles, some upgrades are pretty good and all. Bosses are a bit too easy/slow and the patterns are a bit too simple at times, but i still kind of like them and they have some potential. I've yet to unlock higher difficulties/challenges so i hope that these spice things up appropriately.
Not sure how i feel about the metaprogression, rarity levels of passives (it adds variety but decreases strategic choices), and how some stuff doesn't feel very impactful, plus a certain sluggishness/clunkiness i feel at times in the gameplay. Lacks some "snappiness" sometimes, too. A few other things that i can't quite be sure about. Games likes these are supposed to feel replayable and while i think the core gameplay has a solid base it feels a little repetitive in some ways.
Still, what matters most is that the player has fun, and i seem to have fun, so that's good.
THIS!
Couldnt make it to 1000 hours because i got bored away.
Soulstone Survivors got me hooked very badly and even there is no more to unlock right know. Just going in and do dumb stuff is more fun than to commit to a 15 min run in VS.
The only akward thing i came accross are animations in battle but i hope this will stay the way it is because it just looks damn funny.
I bet we will see much to come in the future of this game, far more than the roadmap offers.
From my feeling the devs are pretty new and fresh, but adapting pretty fast in their skill so this game could be their playground. I think from this comes the feeling there is passion in there when you play this already 10bucks masterpiece.
