Death Knight
good one guys, all that work to unlock a class that is literally disabled, unable to dash and constantly getting cornered to death, what a pointless class

You have to be constantly moving with him. I mean, constantly, after the initial stage you stop for a fraction of second - you take damage. Also, if you don't stack a decent amount of movement speed upgrades by the first wave of bosses - you can't outrun their skills. If you manage to do that, however, he becomes pretty neat at doing what cavalry does best.

Probably one of my fav chars. Have to admit though that not getting enough movespeed by some particular stages is usually game over.

Its one of the best classes in the game, but suffers from RNG more than any other. If you cannot get a few passive speed boost early on then you are better of restarting your run. However, when you are able to out run all attacks this character shreds through enemies.

Might be harder to adapt to this characters playstyle than any other.

And you need to learn how much speed you need to run out of a attack with a large radius.

Feels like one of the strongest classes to me. On my last run with him i had like 350% movement speed modifier and was doing very good damage.

Its not arcane weaver, but yeah DK is pretty great if you grab some movement speed. It just becomes a go in circles around the bosses faster then they can attack. But outside of Weaver I would say its a top tier class. Weaver is on its own because of its shield being super OP currently.

Also we have no idea what they are planning for weapons for DK. It could be even better once we see what weapons we can craft for it.

the death knight doesn't need dodging after all he's the fastest of all characters. You're just too bad for him or you're playing the death knight completely wrong. I play the death knight the most and have no problems with him, it's just difficult to play at first but he's one of the best.

Was that with the reworked paladin void hunter? Everything will obliterate you with no dash in the current patch, if you even think of movement speed, as enemy skills seem to get an activation bonus if you pick it.

I concur with OP. And the character designer seem to have a communication issue with the game designer.

Everyone saying it is good is not on curse VII.... it is the worst right up there with assassin.

In Curse 7 I found Death Knight easiest to survive with to start with (plague and ice are the bane of my existence one DK though, but everything else was easy to avoid). With so much attack spam from elites and void enemies and bosses and pillars, the movement speed boost the DK has was waaay more advantageous than 2 dashes on a much slower moving character, for me at least.

And yes, I did beat full intensity curse (48 intensity) / cures 7 with the death knight. No, I did not think to take a screenshot of it, sorry. I did that yesterday, so in the most recent patch.

Getting a good clear time does take some luck in getting good skills/cards early, but surviving with the DK I found quite easy.

(I also beat curse 7 / 48 intensity with a bladestorm barb, full pet necro, full pet beastmaster, and a laser-beam spellweaver so far. Haven't tried the rest yet, but they are on the list).

The thing to remember is that movement is not instantaneous. That is, you do no go from stationary to full speed right away. There is a wind up / acceleration period. So the tactic of standing around and dashing out of the red zones that works for others will not translate to the deathknight at all. You need to be moving at all times so that you're always at max speed, making avoiding the red zones soooo much easier.

did C7 on Horse with only Pets, was easy peasy under 10 Min. You have absolute nothing do do, just cruise over the map and avoid getting hit...

the momentum thing is pretty important for DK. you can push things out of your way. best to not stop at all if you can help it

My third run for today. Around 200% movespeed there is nothing that can harm you any more, except you run straight into it. And many bosses are starting to chase you like dumb and you can see the frustration clearly in their eyey not getting you.
Only two dangerous attacks at 200%. The AOE from Mr Stinky, this thing damn fast. And the AOE from Coldhearted Bastards' Snowflakes that laying around. Everything else cant get you. You can simply outrun every attack of every enemy, included Paladin/Chaos Wave after buffed by Chaos Demon.

No, but Chaos Demon can buff everything with Bloodlust and that makes everything faster.

DK isnt a useless character. my DK is almost level 300. You're just bad at the game and used to clutching on dash abilities with all the other characters in the game. Just learn to adapt to the character play style and you'll be fine. movement speed and aoe attacks help out alot. Try switching up runes aswell.
