Once there was a Time where i was waiting for new Hidden Object Games (HOG) from Artifex Mundi. They made great Series and it was each time a great pleasure playing them. But then one day … it stopped. It became quiet und no more HOG´s were released.
But i love HOG´s and i was looking for new ones. I tried many oft hem. Some were good, some were bad. But now i found the new Studio Best Games Collection.
After the fantastic Start MYSTERY OF MORTLAKE MANSION now their second Game on Steam.

Welcome to ALEXANDER THE GREAT: SECRETS OF POWER.

You are a Descendant of Alexander the Great. Yes THE Alexander the Great.
It was a secret, but Alexander got 3 Artifacts, that once gave him great Powers.
A Crown, a Dagger and a Ring. In wrong hands this three Artifacts will cause much, much damage.
And of course there is one evil Person trying to get them.
So it is up to you to save the day.

ALEXANDER THE GREAT: SECRETS OF POWER (ATG:SOP) has a really exciting Story in front of a historical Background. Your Adventure will not only be in the present time, it will take you also to the Past. On your way you have to master Hidden Object Scenes and Mini Games.
What i like, this Game is not too easy, but also not too hard. I love it more challenging, but not unfair. The Hidden Object Areas are very well drawn and you can find each Object without problems if you have a sharp Eye. That goes also for the Mini Games. Logical and fair.

The Graphics are really well done and i love how realistic the Characters are drawn. I also love the Sounds, that fit perfectly in. Most is also voiced.
I can also get over the fact that the game has no achievments. I enjoyed every minute of this Game.

The graphics and game play for me are excellent. A lot of hidden object scenes with puzzles here and there instead of the other way round. I really enjoy these type of games with a story line that is informative and not extremely verbose. Accolades to the designers and graphic artists on the numerous HOGs . If you are looking for a nice relaxing game without having to jump around a lot and with just enough challenge to keep you playing, I highly recommend this game. I hope you will continue with this genre of HOG games. I am not an expert and am over 70, so I like games that take it easy.

Great game with all the classic hidden object/puzzle challenges you expect. Not as pretty as most of the Artifex Mundi games but still worth playing if your like the genre.

Bravo Stella games! What a delightful surprise. This game combined hidden object scenes with mini games and puzzles, time travel and exquisitely detailed locations. Having played hundreds of these type games, this one kept compelling me to keep going. I couldn't walk away from it! The hidden object scenes were harder than average, yet all of the items were indeed there somewhere, and not hidden behind something else. The acting and music were also great. This game combined modern technology with ancient artifacts. Puzzles were more fun for me by not having a great deal of instruction. The game provides the option to skip any puzzles you may find too difficult. It also features a built in system of note-taking in the form of a smartphone. Pertinent clues were automatically captured as a photo on the smartphone and then the photo automatically appeared on screen when trying to solve the actual corresponding puzzle. I enjoyed the fast travel by map feature, but also the concise site and historical information given through the smartphone while in flight to your next destination. This was truly a globe-trotting adventure. If you are a fan of the Hidden Expedition HOPA series, you will enjoy this one. Well done, Stella Games. I'm standing at my desk applauding. As hidden object games go, this is a pretty good example. The puzzles are slightly tricky but never so hard I felt the need to skip. The hidden objects are mostly reasonable (aside from a few weird named things; calling tweezers "pincers", and pinces-nez "nose nippers", for example). The graphics are appealing, the animation decent and well paced, the voice acting mostly decent (a few pacing issues or weird phrasings again).

If it had achievements, it would be fully on a par with an Artifex Mundi hidden object game.

Look no further if you want a classic and casual HOG in which scenes are full of random items, logical puzzles and fairly interesting story.

Its a very exciting game with intriguing puzzles and an awesome story line!!

i was enjoying the game, but about 3 hours in, it kept shutting down.

I love these type of HOGS with their beautiful realistic scenes. The artwork is intricate and not the neon colored stuff of the newer HOG's. That said, this game has the hardest HO scenes I've ever played. My older eyes are no match for some of items, like gold objects hidden in a pile of gold objects. There is a hint system, which I have had to resort to for good reason. The puzzles aren't too hard and there is a skip feature if you don't want to spend time on them. I like the story and the progression...it's interesting. But mostly I love the fact there are so many HO scenes--this game is worth the $$ just for that fact imo.
