At least under Ubuntu I can play AirMech without any problem.
Fenrir, if you don't want to put your voice out on game's official forums, don't expect to be heard by devs that only have their eyeballs there.
xarvh, that method makes it look like you're running it on Windows, and it grants Windows your piece of the marketshare, even if you're using Linux.

I wanted to try AirMech Strike with wine, but the game don't work at all.
A black window appear a microsecond only, and a the browser open up to url "https://www.carbongames.com/err/err3.html?desc=Cannot+create+shadow+depth+buffer"
and return a 404.
Tried with proton (3.16-4), then the classic wine 4.1 (staging) (installed with windows steam client).
The protondb show "borked".
Winehq show the alpha and beta worked. There is no recent report.
