There was a Linux build in testing a while back. You may still be able to try it out. Check the Linux section of the offical forums at http://airme.ch/1DPLgWY

Well thanks for the link but i dont visit game forums anymore. Partially because i dont like having 100 logins on various gaming websites. But also because i simply dont have time for that.

If you find the time, just use your Steam account to login. That way, your forum account will be the same as your in-game account.

Forget Linsux, when is Airmech going to be released on the Apple IIe? It's a really under-served market and I think that all small indie dev teams should be wasting their time making games for it.

Also, why can't I play Airmech on my Microwave Oven? Come on Carbon!

+1 for Linux

* Install playonlinux
* Use playonlinux to install the Windows version of Steam
* Use Windows version of Steam to install and play AirMech

At least under Ubuntu I can play AirMech without any problem.

THE REVN3, I'm not installing Windows because it IS the problem. And all of these games that force you to use it in order to play exasperbate the problem. Unlike Apple IIe, Linux actually IS capable of running games like this.

Fenrir, if you don't want to put your voice out on game's official forums, don't expect to be heard by devs that only have their eyeballs there.

xarvh, that method makes it look like you're running it on Windows, and it grants Windows your piece of the marketshare, even if you're using Linux.

InsaneFirebat, I once heard that your timetable for Linux support was that you will start working on it when it is fully released for Windows. That time has come.

...the time has come.

Hi,

I wanted to try AirMech Strike with wine, but the game don't work at all.
A black window appear a microsecond only, and a the browser open up to url "https://www.carbongames.com/err/err3.html?desc=Cannot+create+shadow+depth+buffer"
and return a 404.

Tried with proton (3.16-4), then the classic wine 4.1 (staging) (installed with windows steam client).

The protondb show "borked".
Winehq show the alpha and beta worked. There is no recent report.
