AirMech was split into two games. AirMech Strike remains free2play, but cuts out much of the PvE content in favor of fair and balanced PvP. AirMech Wastelands is a paid game with a full campaign and plenty of customization for your AirMech. Both games share the same servers and accounts, so all of your inventory will still be there in both games.

Spam is fairly effective against newer players, but Bucky melts when the wind blows the wrong way. You can put spammers to rest by scouting often and using the right units/tactics to counter them.

how would you reccomend i counter them? I've tried using bombs and artillary to outrange them. I've tried rushing with lighter units. I've tried rushing with tanks. From what I've seen, enough buckys and common sense are enough to win with ease, because nothing I've tried seems to work, especially with how fast they move.

Your mech is probably the best tool to deal with Bucky spam. Use it to distract Bucky fire from the rear or sides so that your units can approach unharmed. It's easy to dodge Bucky missiles, especially with boosting/jumping.

Bombs should be very effective against Bucky, although the credit costs can be high if you're not using them efficiently. A good spread on the Bucky line will make Bombs a bad choice.

Assassins and Butchers can be effective, but they'll likely die in the death explosions from the Buckies. Jackal/Joker should trade well with Bucky, even better if you can keep them moving around the Buckies with commands.

Drop paladins on top of them to tank the rockets while you destroy the buckys with your mech.

Works for me.

You can still play coop matches, but they'll need to be in custom lobbies. AirMech Strike now focuses on PvP content.

If it was about profits, we wouldn't have offered the new game for free to all of our VIPs. It's really about the constant struggle between PvP and PvE balance. Splitting the game lets us go in both directions without as many sacrifices.

Survival missions, both old and new, are in Wastelands.

It was a bloody nightmare to try to balance both PvP & PvE, thanks to different stat checks, parts, gear, pilots, ultimates, etc. PvP was got a balance, it broke PvE. PvE got a balance, PvP broke. The split was honestly the ideal sollution. This way both PvP & PvE can continue to be developed properly without one breaking the other :P
(Wastelands has a fully explorable world map now, with nodes to unlock, missions, story, etc. So it's not just the ol' bot matches, hehe)

Legacy version has been retired. Read the reasons the game was split into two.
