I mean, I could try, but I'm in the process of getting my PC parts upgraded. Honestly just seems to be too much physical mental hassle to just redownload, so I'm taking a big break instead tbh
oh, I already did the Transfer process. I'm just waiting to hear back from PW on how I have a PW account existing under my own email. TOF always runs better for PC than my iPhone, and no recent mobile rpg company has good optimization like HoyoVerse for Apple mobile gaming atm.
Update from Discord server: A ToF server member reported being unable to enter game from default launcher, too, with provided screen recording of the mishap
That's unfortunate but not surprising. I'm currently using the default non Steam launcher on my desktop pc, and have had no major problems with it so far.
Well technically, PS players are using the PW server(s) by default so technically it's us PC-mobile players joining THEM in any case. Also, I'm mostly a PC-Nintendo Switch player, so I got no PS on me, or I'd enjoy a lotta its exclusive games firsthand b4 potential Steam releases. I already juggle Genshin, Honkai Star Rail, Wuthering Waves, and I need to make room for Ananta and *maybe* NTE. Personally, I am NOT the biggest fan of playing an MMO on my phone, as playing it on my computers have been more of my comfort zone since FusionFall back in the day.
I am certain I made a Perfect World account under a different game, OR maybe if it counts that I made an account for Chinese ToF b4 Global release. They still need to confirm with me on that info.
Now one of my main questions about cross play with Playstation is if it also comes with cross save. Cross save is spotty across games. Some support more platforms, some support less. The one game I know supports an impressive amount of platforms is Sega's Phantasy Star Online 2. You can use the same save on the Microsoft Store version, Xbox One/X/S, Playstation 4/5, Epic, and Steam. So I know it's possible in practice. So usually it's contracts that hold up those opportunities.
As for having games on mobile, I don't actually play them there. I just have them in case I'm not able to use my PC and want to still do the passive dailies. The ones that just require tapping a button to get a reward.
You yourself said " it at least runs and lets you do something when away from your main PC" yet also say yourself "want to still do the passive dailies. The ones that just require tapping a button to get a reward." ToF dailies aren't passive, or semi-passive as the other action RPG gachas like Honkai Impact 3, PGR, Aether Gazer, and Zenless Zone Zero. As I've said, I already occupy myself maintaining Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, Wuthering Waves, and potentially Ananta (and maybe NTE idk) in the future, so to my preference, if that 'something when away from my main PC' is not as tolerable as the 3 games I try to maintain alongside an MMORPG, then I cannot bother, especially with this game. I've had a history of dropping and taking breaks from games for a decade now, and several weeks without ToF won't make a drastic difference in my gaming life.
yrahhhh
Daily shop reward. Going to the shop every day, you can click on the gift icon for a small reward.
Daily Sign in rewards.
Dimensional Trials. When starting to play as a low level, these must be actively done. But after your level is greater than the highest level for it, you can just do the quick version to get the rewards.
Artificial Island. The one that becomes a home instance the player can develop. After completing certain things, you can just grab some rewards by clicking on a single button.
Mi.A's cooking. This gives only a buff to use in combat, but doing it 3 and 9 times a week will also fill the weekly rewards system.
Implemented recently, the characters you got from the gacha can be assigned to explore certain maps and grant you rewards and map completion.
As stated above, most of these will fill your weekly reward completion.
Lastly, if you miss some of these, the game will give you some items when you log in the next day.
So yes, these things I can do from the mobile app without having to move the character at all.
