I lost my character after half a year of progress—thank you for that!
I know my server, but I don't remember exactly which email address my account is linked to. The worst part is that I can't even check if my character still exists on Level Infinite because it immediately redirects me to Perfect World Games. So now, I have to blindly go through all my email addresses, hoping to find the right one.

I've tried everything—logging in through Steam, Google, and three different email addresses. Every time I log in, my account on the Midgard server is empty. Instead of seeing my character, I get the intro video like it's my first time playing.

I had so much progress, and I refuse to start over. This experience has completely ruined the game for me, and I'm quitting. How could the transition be so broken? Is this really how you treat the community—people who have invested time and money into your game? With this attitude, do you really expect players to stick around? If this continues, the game's future doesn't look promising. I'm sure the player base has already taken a hit because of issues like this.

I mean, TOF only has always had only one player (me) so nah, not really any hits to the playerbase. :NekoHappy:

Meme-ing aside; It isn't their fault you manage your accounts and emails so poorly. Your complaint is completely a you issue at this point. I seriously wonder if you people know how to read, how to look up information when met with an issue (all your answers are literally in these forums) and follow simple instructions. Why not do this instead of jumping to conclusions and posting complaints?

Look, if you didn't transfer your stuff, of course you won't have your stuff show, even if you use the email you originally used to log into the game now. It is a whole different server now, after all. Also it has been stated explicitly many times to not log in via steam, Google, or nothing, when logging into the game (AFTER you transfer, just to reiterate) but to log in via the regular email log in option.

Just go to the transfer website as is posted on these forums. That is where you need to log in with your OLD credentials to then transfer them over, so if it isn't an email you used for ToF originally, it won't work. That is how you can figure out which one it is.

Also, if you transfer this late, it's gonna take them some time to get your stuff over, too. It isn't like it's instantly there. It needs to be uploaded to the new server.

Also, 33 hours is not half a year of progress, just saying. LOL

First of all, baboon, if you happened to be one of the lucky one in a hundred and decided to defend this company without any justification, then congratulations – you're doing someone else's job for free, covering up this company's incompetence.

Secondly, of course, this is only my problem, because the entire forum, YouTube, comments, and reviews are flooded with messages just like mine, yet you decided to share your absolutely useless opinion here.

Thirdly, in case you didn't know, you can play not only on Steam but also on mobile devices and other Steam accounts. These 33 hours are just on this account.

You're trying to cast doubt on my words as if I have any reason to lie. I think you're a liar yourself and judge everyone by your own standards.

You blame others for your neglectance?

Publisher change has been known & announced constantly for a months now.
You had more than enough time to figure out messy (lack of) arrangements with your emails.

Insulting someone because they state facts in your face, is simply ridiculous, if not just childlish.
Take the help people are offering you for free, or waste even more time on pointless argues, which will lead to nowhere.

I'd say you are very dumb because you think that mistakes can be made in the process of transferring an account. I perfectly understand this procedure, I watched the video, and I did absolutely the same thing as each of you. But you are so dumb that you can't understand that you just got lucky and your account was transferred, while many people's accounts ended up being deleted.

I don’t care anymore, I’ve deleted this game forever, and to hell with these companies.

The transition before the PWG can be checked (i.e. which account you use) but after PWG is a bit harder since if you are using multiple accounts (it is possible with mobile devices) then it is harder to check since while you "could" transfer the account, it might not the SAME account you use (this is an assumption and typical IT issue when using multiple devices)

That said, I wish there were some way to use the web to log into the account and see "character" you have on that account (kind of like WoW style where you can see the character stats but cannot play the game - gosh... that got dated real quick heh)

Of course it does not help that PWG does a client setting reset (back to default) once in a while and puts me in some weird servers I do not have.

note: I notice something when I first transfer, I chose my server and NO character is showing. This is NORMAL. You have to actually CONNECT and log into the server and then your character will show up the list the 2nd time. I panic cause when I went to my server, I did not see my character (you know that page where it shows which servers you have characters)

so I assume you went further and click on the server and log in to and your character is still missing. IF so, then yea, might have to relink it (if possible) if not, might have to create a new PWG account and initate the transfer AGAIN :(

LOL (you meant Feb 28th right? hehe)

but that said, I think there is a "way" until April 24, 2025.

BUT if the user does not remember the original email account, then well..... that is going to be rough since it depends on the user to remember which email it was tied to since there is no way to verify via infinite which account has characters.
If you are playing through steam, It is your steam email. They gave us plenty of time and information to get our transfers ready. Plus, content creators had multiple videos and "how to" guides. The transfer process takes 10 min.

How many of you lifeless twerps have considered returning players who have not played the game or been in the community for some time?
I just decided to give the game another go, and look at all this...

You have to be absolutely out of your mind if you think there will be any % of retention with returning players with this kind of community response.

Right, that is why that transfer AFTER we are at PWG is hard. The original location does not show what characters you have (no longer visible) and you hope you pick the right email account (old account) to link with new account (PWG)

and when the transfer is done (it takes some time) then you may have the right or wrong account, if you have wrong account, then you have to start the process all over again and link to a DIFFERENT PWG account (can only link to one account)
Not to mention you have somehow remember which server you happened to be assigned to then, as well.... I have no f'ck'n clue which server I was on... none of them even look familiar!!!

Correct cause depending when you decide to take a break, there was a server merge which makes it even "harder" ;)

(the original page is gone on ToF site since we change publisher to PWG)
